Re: Latest Doodle

Thx for the positive comments, appreciate them. Martin, the "doodle" comment was a little joke referring to a comment on another design.
Thought i would share a couple of detailed images of the stairs as its design is central to the project. it too houses a lift bdfd, great minds eh. smile

Re: Latest Doodle

Hi bdfd.
Those are semi circular walls treated the same way as swimming pool water.Thx to Emmanuel Puybaret for that one.

Re: Latest Doodle

So, heres the thing.

I had an idea, beginning to wish i hadn't, this is the semi circular roof above the lift/stairs

the idea was, this roof should also be clear, and this is what i came up with, not perfect, but i like the look.

At this point it started going down hill. i put the main roof back on

So after several hrs work creating the glass dome it was ruined by the roof.
So i opened a new plan, recreated the walls and floor put a semi circlar stair in a measured (guessed) position, exported- imported- changed thickness- exported - imported added pitch, and came up with this

progress, a little tweaking, a couple of walls, should be fine.
But then i tried the walls

Short end of the wall (set at 1/8") is too high and the curve is wrong. sad
Heres an image of my next idea.

Can anyone out there help me with this last image please, the ideas have dried up here, thx

Re: Latest Doodle

voila

think i prefer the view on a lower setting

I ended up using two small triangles, start and end and then 15 small walls. Wish i'd thought of it before, DOH

Re: Latest Doodle

Hi. been a little busy here, but i have managed to tweak this house a little and get some images, but first, heres a picture of a hotel room i stayed in recently, does the bed look familiar?

4 images now of the outside of this project;
The front looked a little bland to me and inside the house was difficult to find a flow through it.

Widening the ground and 1st floors improved this

As you can see i also changed the topography of the land.

I did this when i found out what topography meant biggrin

The layout inside the house is now pretty much sorted:
Ground floor has the main reception area, bedroom, access to the garage and stairs/lift to the 1st floor

1st Floor has the dining room, bedroom and kitchen with small wc and a small closet

2nd floor hasn't changed much;

A few of the rooms are now complete (ish) so i had a go at a few renders:
2 views of the kitchen

The dining room

and the master bath, in this 1 i am stood in the bath

and this 1 shows the shower the toilet and the foot spa

Enjoy
Mike
