Walls with wooden panels
I'm a new user, found this great tool by slump, and I'm about to model a new bathroom with sauna.
Saunas, at least here in Sweden (and Finland of course) have walls covered in wooden panels, often from pine. But I don't know the best way to model this. Should I create the profile for the whole wall in some 3D program and import this as furniture and place it on the wall, or should I use the same program just to create an appropriate pattern to put on the wall?
I guess the wall needs a profile in order to render shadows properly in different viewing angles. Or does this just clutter up the design with unnecessary detail?
It fells as if the detail issue is the hardest for a beginner to decide, it's easy to loose yourself in designing furniture details that wouldn't be visible in the final renders anyway.
And in either case, I have note been able to find any appropriate patterns to use for wood panels of this kind, can anyone direct me to some good patterns for this purpose?
I've found a lot of wood patterns but nothing that suits for a wall like this.
