Edit/Customize an object feature

Hi,
Sorry about my English.
I've just discover this impressive (free!) software and thanks to the developers and the community.

I found un objet(shelves_storage_steel.obj : http://www.sweethome3d.com/models/contributions/shelves_storage_steel.zip ) and I found very pratical the internal editor of the sofware but I would like to go further and know if it's ("easily") possible to customize this objet or aoother similar and :
1) modify the numbers or trays
2) the gap between the trays

I did download MeshLab, Blender, ArtOfIllusion and I suppose i can be done with this sofwares but it will be too time consuming for me if however I can get there...

Thank you for your "magic" solution biggrin

There is a new tutorial about customizing furniture which can also help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2_yg-v9Xfo
To increase and modify the trays, it will be easy to customize your own shelf. But if you need to reduce the number of trays, you may need these good softwares.

Re: Edit/Customize an object feature

You could could add more shelves by superimposing these shelves and change the gap between them by simply changing its height. Not a perfect solution for sure, but much easier than learning a 3D model editor.
