Re: Start Point

First: I'm sorry if I upset you!
Second: In your definition, you mentioned "a wall," so I'm not entirely wrong.
Third: It's better to ask us "How do I do this or that with this program?" instead of "Why doesn't this or that feature exist, like in other programs?"
So, I will try to help you within the limits of my modest and anecdotal knowledge even you don't ask for.
You want to have the wall with a side superposed with one of the grid lines(horizontal/vertical, major, minor).
On short: You can't do this automatically.
On long:
Usually, when magnetism is enabled, the walls are drawn parallel with grid. You could set the wall position in that way to overlap a line of grid.

If I've correctly understood you need multiple walls as equal separators of a space.
When you have 2~3 walls could be made as I say above but what if you need 20 or 50 this became unacceptable. I've encountered this problem in the past.
This days you could use Multiplier plugin. How?
Draw a wall, set their thickness and set their position.
Select the wall then Tools->Multiply... or use the toolbar icon.
On Linear method set the desire numbers of walls and the distance on the needed direction.
Of course will be measured from the middle so you have to add the wall thickness at distance between walls.

ERRATA: Is my fault! By "constructors" I meant builders, bricklayers, plumbers, electricians, etc. The guys who worked on renovating my apartment.

Re: Start Point

Thank you for your response. Appreciate your sentiments.

As to 'wall', that was not in my definition. While an exterior wall can just be called a wall, an interior one is always a partition.

And of course, I did just ask simply for clarification on how start points work. It is the title of the post, after all.

Re: Start Point

One small add to what Keet said on they're first answer.
With Magnetism enabled draw a wall and set ONLY the start point position.
Will result an unaligned wall.
Then click on the end point of the wall (single click). The wall will be aligned with the grid or at the most appropriate predefined snap angle.
Hope this is useful to know.

Re: Start Point

Sorry! The English is not my native language as the imperial measure is not common in my area.
In my language "Experimented" and "experienced" have the same translation "experimentat".
Anyway Is totally my fault. I'm sorry. crying
