Re: light fix

It would help if you made it clear what you want fixed.

If the light is too bright/powerfull you can modify the light model. In the bottom right corner there is a setting "Light power (%)" that is default set to 50%. You can change that number to get more or less light power when rendering a photo.

If it is the spread of the light then you need either a different light or add a invisible lightpanel or hemisphere. Read this very educational thread from GaudiGalopin about using invisible hemispheres to light a scene.
Unfortunately all images are lost because the file host disappeared but you can still learn a lot from the text.

Re: light fix

Hi. And thanks Keet! I see that first you need to understand that the program has 1. an easy way to make lighting in any room, this method is primitive in essence. All other methods are independent lighting inside and outside the house or room, this method requires attention to the light sources, their power and color. This method of lighting is the most effective if done correctly and with fiction. So the easiest way is the "add ceiling lights" button, I see that this mode is enabled. I advise you to turn it off. And try a more interesting way with your own light sources. I recommend using hemispheres rather than spheres. These fixtures are available in the expanded library of fixtures. These lights can be of the right color and the right power. They can also be changed in shape and tilted to any position. These hemispheres work like searchlights, they shine inward and, accordingly, the light from them also spreads outward from the hemispheres. This does not make the shadows in the room from objects turn black, they become lighter and look like real transparent shadows, where reflected light from the walls and floor works. If the hemisphere has the shape of a tall tower, then the light mainly spreads out to the sides and slightly downwards. If the hemisphere has the shape of a flat plate, then it is a directed beam of light, mainly the stream of light is directed down into the floor. I have placed 8 such hemispherical towers in the room. The power of each tower is 1%, the base size is 1 meter, the tower height is 2.7 meters, the color is white. These towers can be placed evenly with small intersections, it is better not to touch the walls. Each tower should be raised 20-30cm above the floor level, the top of the tower should not touch the ceiling, 20-30cm from the ceiling.

The brightness level must first be set to the middle position and the desired brightness mode must be achieved on trial renderers. The more light sources there are in the room, the lower the brightness mode of the render will be.

Re: light fix

to the colored walls and colored floor, add 180-degree hemispherical plates pointing upward. The color is brown, the power is 5%. They work as reflected light from the floor, and objects receive a color reflex from the parquet. All white objects become more complex in color, it's always beautiful. Better than just shades of gray.
