This is confirmed by the crew of Hermes above us.

We check the anchors and return equipments in the hangars.
The crew of Mars Two will remain safe.
All batteries are ON.

News (for Manu):
The atmospheric pressure there is in fact only 9 millibars against 1013 millibars on Earth.
The atmosphere is so thin that winds of 150 km/h would not make you more impact than cigarette smoke on the cheek...

The real danger comes from dust.
it contains perchlorate, silica, iron oxide and sulfur in very fine sizes and very static... biggrin

9 millibars! Then, parachutes must be giant!!!
About communications, the long delays when they communicate with the Earth must make the astronauts feel like if they use a slow speed connection!

UPDATES

So if Mars One was in Orson Welles crater (purple cross bottom Xanthe),
Mars Two is in Taytay crater (green cross between Pathfinder and Opportunity sites) near river of Ares vallis.

Follow the black arrows.

Storm is entirely on the planet, here pictures from meteorologic satelite in orbit.

There are signs of improvement for the storm stops tomorrow. smile

If No, before we have installed 3 Wind turbines.

2 groups form, the scientists and the builders.

During the storm in the hangar, the first prepares their exploration mission.
They ended the exploration rover (extended main rover) in the hangar-1b.

It is expected for the full crew is 11 people.
For scientific explorations 4 will leave.
The rear part of the rover will serve as storage.

After this, they will continue with the survival module.

The second prepares the communications module...
