how far you can get in the first 1,5 hours (+ rendering time)

Post by logisch »

my first finalized bird view scene:
Image
rendered in 1200x900 at quality level 4 (highest) and then scaled down to 600x450 plus applied median filter
full res image
the thing i want to point out for you is the very low wall along the path from the entrance to the car.

(and yes the biggest worries i had were the permanent surface flickering in the preview window due to edge positioning problems. having a better snap-to-corner mode or zoom dependent catch distance would be very fine.)

my first first-persons-view scene preview:

and its final rendering:

the scenery is fictional.
if someone is really interested in he scene data then just respond below.

i would have put a mirror in it and a few trees,
but guess what - i found those extra new goodies
only after i was done over there at the new furniture section.

regards, Alex.

PS: dont forget to add a few pets, farm animals and beasts to the wishlish, just for the case you ever plan to model a few more things. ;-)

Hi Alex,

Great work on your first bird’s-eye view and first-person scene! The low wall along the path looks like a nice detail, and the final renders turned out well. Thanks for sharing your work and explaining the issues you encountered with surface flickering and edge positioning. Better snapping and zoom-dependent settings would definitely be ]useful improvements.[/uhttps://www.sweethome3d.com/rl]

Adding pets, farm animals, and other creatures would also be a great idea for future updates!

Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your experience with the community.

Very nice work, Alex! Both the bird’s-eye view and first-person rendering look great. I especially like the attention to detail with the low wall along the path. Thanks for sharing your experience and pointing out the surface flickering and snapping issues. Improved snapping and zoom-dependent settings would definitely be useful additions
And I agree, adding pets, farm animals, and other creatures would make a wonderful addition to the furniture library. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects. Keep up the great work!
