Copy & Paste an Entire Level

Post by Forester_Sk »

Is it possible to copy an entire level from one file and paste it in a new one? I've created separate levels of my house in individual files and would like to bring them together into one plan. I've attempted several times to copy and paste but have had no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can. First create an empty level (with the elevation, height, and floor thickness the same as the source level) in the project where you collect the levels.
Make sure the source level is active and visible. With ctrl+A you can select everything and with ctrl+C copy it.
Go to the new project with the new level and past with ctrl+V. The level must be active and visible otherwise you can't past in it.
Repeat for the other levels.
You might have to do some work to nicely fit all levels above each other and you might have copied a staircase from two levels where now only one is needed.

Thanks Keet, I'll give that a shot. I probably should've stated in the request that this is just the floor plan (walls, doors and windows - no furniture). Just the thought of having to re-draw the entire plan was really discouraging.
