Please read the FAQ about 3DS files.

Re: Problem with models from Archive3d.net

Thanks for the faster answer.
I resolve the problem for almost file with the FBX converter.
For other file FBX converter doesn't work (not enough parameters).
how can I resolve it?

Re: Problem with models from Archive3d.net

I downloaded models from archive3d.net too and had that "not enough parameters" error. I might have found a solution. I did some research, and found out that the FBX converter 2013 is bugged and doesn't convert all files. I downloaded 2012 version from archive like someone told on another forum, and with that I could convert everything from archived3d.net.

Re: Problem with models from Archive3d.net

As explained in this blog article, the part of the program that handles 3DS file format, the one used on Archive3d.net, was updated in version 4.5. So, first, you should check if you use this version.
Then, if you still have problems, you should know that many 3D models proposed on that web site use texture images, that sometimes are missing or are at format not supported by Sweet Home 3D.
