Any websites that lists average dimensions of most buildings in USA?
As the title says. I'm trying to get the sense of scale for buildings. So far I've made some that look big in Sweet home but are pretty small in a game. I am needing to model some common buildings but need the average length and width dimensions. Is there like any architecture sites that list average sq foot and length width of say a average house, apartment, 711, gas station, police station, fire station, hospital, average small shop, strip mall, liquor store, bar? If not, then just some general information on how big a room should be?

For average homes, you can look up manufacturers of prefabricated homes. They may have drawings. You may also find drawings for other buildings at various architects or public bodies.
Second approach: use Google Earth, the drawing function lets you measure up a building. Some buildings are also available as (basic shell) models from the 3d warehouse (see bottom of http://www.sweethome3d.com/importModels.jsp ).
But beware, recreating a house designed by someone else, may be a violation of their copyright. (Just being inspired and taking note of general dimensions is ok, though.)
In different parts of the world there are also a range of legal requirements to buildings, e.g. for a shop to qualify as small (with extended opening hours), many European countries require the shop to be less than 70 sq m, a bathroom in a modern house is now required to be big enough to allow for a wheel-chair to turn in the room etc.

Thanks the google maps google earth ruler is awesome. I can model out buildings exterior from my own town and fill in the rest based off me being there before. Very very good. Thanks!
