adding wall openings
how do I add a wall opening for doorways with no doors? I tried door frame but the opening does not go all the way to the ceiling like some of mine do in my home.

Re: adding wall openings
If the opening doesn't goes high enough, why didn't you try to increase the height of the opening accordingly?

Replies to a question from more than a decade ago? Much has changed in Sweet Home 3D since then. The "answer" from dictatorxmas is cleverly disguised SPAM. He changed the url in the quote. Always be careful with replies from members where the post count is 1. I have reported several of these as spam, this one from dictatorxmas and others where spam urls are in the signature.
That said, the solution Hans offered with the invisible box is still valid and very useful. In this case however I would simply cut out a piece of wall since the opening must be all the way to the ceiling.

Re: adding wall openings
In case the set of solutions result still useful for somebody, here is what I would do:
Add a door frame. Go to Furniture options, by pressing Ctrl+E. Change door frame height and width, even elevation, if necessary.
A service hatch would be useful, too.
OH! and make the door frame invisible, by changing the material.
Yep, that works too and is the same as using an invisible box imported as Door or window.
