smile Pleasze help with staircase

I Have a staircase that I need to include in my plan that I cannot find an answer for.
The stair case area is 1.96 metres wide and 2.3 metres deep
The height from Ground floor to 1st floor is 2.608 metres
The staircase is carpeted and goes up as below:
5 stairs with Tread 900x300mm
1 tread 900 wide x 960 deep on the left side cut along the back at 45 degrees
1 tread cut at 45 degrees along the front which is 950 on the left and 960 along the back
1 tread 960 wide by 960 on the left side cut along the back at 45 degrees
1 tread cut at 45 degrees along the front which is 950 on the left and 960 along the back
5 stairs with Tread 900x300mm
I have stringers up either side of the staircase.
There is a 100mm x 100mm post where the pieces cut at 45 degrees meet on the right side of the landing pieces, from this point there is a wooden open hand rail with vertical supports at 150mm centres.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Re: Pleasze help with staircase

Chris,

Attached is an example of how you could build such a staircase using boxes and triangles. You can find the triangle on the 3D Models page. Make sure to rotate it 90 degerees while importing it.

You can make the four irregular shaped treads by combining a box and a triangle. Use the Group command to make a single shape of it, which you can then copy and mirror to obtain the correct model.

Stringers can be made by drawing a wall of the desired dimension (in a separate instance of SH3D), then using Export and Import, giving it the correct rotation during importing. See the tutorials here or use the help pages.
