help me please!! i try so many times to uninstall the program then install it again, but it doesn't work at all, it allowed me to launch only the logo when it starting, but it hanged in this step, i cannot continue. Help me anyone? I don't know what happened? it used to be workaround in couple weeks ago. so I've just installed the newest version and the error occurred that i mentioned. May be bugs or anything, i want to use it ASAP, then help me please.....Thank you..
Same as Puybaret. That worked great until a java update I think. So Graphic video card may not be the problem. Installed Java jre 7, uninstall, reinstall Sweet home, install latest video drivers and the software still hang on splash screen.
Very annoying. Read FAQ and other posts but nothing helps.

Re: Hey Guys I wanna cry!! my SH3D cannot start!!
Sweet Home 3D is tested against Java 6 and not Java 7. Anyway, if you use the installer version, it comes with a JRE 6 and not a JRE 7.

SH3D was installed on my desktop computer and my laptop and worked fine on both. Not use during one week then try to start it and hang up on splash screen on both computer ! Strange, no ? I dont't know wich automatic update screwed those things up ! I have to use it on my wife's mac ! It's a sad defeat in my mac vs pc battle with my wife..

I don't like to blame other developers, but I would bet an issue in the graphics driver, no?

Re: Hey Guys I wanna cry!! my SH3D cannot start!!
It's against all odds that SH3D suddenly crashes on two different computers. To me, this suggests that something else is happening, or has happened.
Did you copy the *.sh3d file? (read: corrupt *.sh3d file) Did you import a model shortly before your last use? (read: corrupt or faulty OBJ or DAE model) Did you install the same update on both computers?
There must be some sort of explanation why both computers have this problem.

Thanks for your ideas. It's true that I added a texture and that could be the last time it works. Then I may send the .sh3d file by email to get it on the other computer, But It doesn't start even when I launch the .exe (not with a .sh3d file). I rename the folder where I have all downloaded all my textures and putted my sh3d files with the same result. Remember that i also already uninstall-reinstall SH3d.
Is there another texture files on the computer managed by SH3D that are persistent within re-installation ?
ok I activated java traces and display the console, launch sweet home in 2d mode via jws and see the error : it cannot open a .recover sweet home file (in application data folder) so i rename the file and now it works ! a pc victory again !
