I get an error when trying to save my project

I am running Windows XP, Java 6 Update 26 and I downloaded Sweet Home 3D Version 3.3, Yesterday everything was working fine. Today when I opened my saved file some of the furniture, lights and doors had big red x's on them and all look red on the 3D view pane. I tried to continue with my design, adding flooring to the rooms and when I went to save my file I got a message stating my house could not be saved into it's directory. If anyone has any information on these issues, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: I get an error when trying to save my project

Send me your sh3d file, I'll have a look to it.

By the way, before opening a new bug report, then opening this thread and then writing to me without your project file, it would have been nice to read the FAQ Sweet Home 3D refuses to open a SH3D file I created, or opens it incorrectly. Is there a way to recover it?. The time spent on support given by volunteers is as precious as yours! sad

Re: I get an error when trying to save my project

I did look at the FAQ page before I wrote this thread. And I tried everything it stated to do and still didn't work. I have tried to send the file to you but it says it is to big to send. I tried deleting some of the project and it will not let me save it. I do apologize for bieng such an inconvenience, it is not my intention to waste your time.

Try to compress the file first before sending it.

Re: I get an error when trying to save my project

I tried that also, it wouldn't save it. So I've deleted the file and I am going to start over. I will save the new file as compressed. If I run into the same problem, hopefully I will be able to send the file to you. Thank you for your time, it was greatly appreciated.

Re: I get an error when trying to save my project

You could have compressed it with a system utility.

Don't worry, this problem happens very rarely, most of the time it's due to a bad transfer from a computer to an other, or a disk problem.

You could also try this other tip but if you're not used to the command line, it might be too complicated.
