I get an error when trying to save my project
I am running Windows XP, Java 6 Update 26 and I downloaded Sweet Home 3D Version 3.3, Yesterday everything was working fine. Today when I opened my saved file some of the furniture, lights and doors had big red x's on them and all look red on the 3D view pane. I tried to continue with my design, adding flooring to the rooms and when I went to save my file I got a message stating my house could not be saved into it's directory. If anyone has any information on these issues, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
By the way, before opening a new bug report, then opening this thread and then writing to me without your project file, it would have been nice to read the FAQSweet Home 3D refuses to open a SH3D file I created, or opens it incorrectly. Is there a way to recover it?. The time spent on support given by volunteers is as precious as yours!

Re: I get an error when trying to save my project
I did look at the FAQ page before I wrote this thread. And I tried everything it stated to do and still didn't work. I have tried to send the file to you but it says it is to big to send. I tried deleting some of the project and it will not let me save it. I do apologize for bieng such an inconvenience, it is not my intention to waste your time.

I tried that also, it wouldn't save it. So I've deleted the file and I am going to start over. I will save the new file as compressed. If I run into the same problem, hopefully I will be able to send the file to you. Thank you for your time, it was greatly appreciated.

You could have compressed it with a system utility.
Don't worry, this problem happens very rarely, most of the time it's due to a bad transfer from a computer to an other, or a disk problem.

You could also try this other tip but if you're not used to the command line, it might be too complicated.
