Re: I can't open preferences

Please read the FAQ Sweet Home 3D crashes when I want to edit preferences, print, create a photo or create a video. What can I do?

Mat,

Did you notice the link Download at the top of every page?
Any guess where it would lead to? laughing

Re: I can't open preferences

Hi,

I'm in the same situation. I'm on linux with kubuntu 11.10.

I've downloaded the new 3.4 version but I'm the same problem with 3.3.

When I try to open preferencies SweetHome crash. Also if I try to create a Photo.

Following the link indicated I've tryied to use SweetHome3D-NoOffscreen.jnlp with no success.

Javaws with this file open a popup with same ouput about an error on download.

If I open it in browser directly I receive the same error.

I used SweetHome many times (great program) and I need to use it more but with version 3.3 e 3.4 I'm in trouble to take photo.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
Rosario

Re: I can't open preferences

Hans,

I've solved problem for jnlp. My proxy was in trouble during my tests.

Now I've started it with javaws and works fine.

Now a question. How can I modify the Sweethome3d script to run it without any web connection?

I'm not always connetted so I've installed the sw in my laptop.

Re: I can't open preferences

Rosario,

On the Download page you can download installable versions for 32 bits and 64 bits versions of Linux. I use the 64 bits version, and it works fine with (L)Ubuntu 11.10.

If you have problems, try uninstalling ALL versions of Java on your computer (Sun Java and Iced Tea). Then install the downloaded version of SH3D.

Re: I can't open preferences

Hans,

I use 32bit on K(de)Ubuntu. I've just downloaded it (3.3 and 3.4 version) with those problems.

Re: I can't open preferences

Hans,

in SweetHome3d script you point every lib with the absolute path of your suite.

How can be possible to use another java?

We don't are on windows....

May be is correctly the offscreen test to create problem. There is any parameter I can put on java line like mem to avoid it?
