If you hold down the SHIFT key while drawing a wall you can draw walls at any angle. You can also disable Magnetism in the Preferences, but then you can't insert doors/windows anymore.

The magnetism shortcut changed to Alt (cmd under macOS) with version 4.0 in 2013, after this thread was started. Thanks for reporting the change even a long time after.
