Re: Custom Model Editing Using Walls & Floors

"Keet" ;)

Looks like we both made typos, sorry. I really wish the SourceForge forum let one edit their posts to correct mistakes.

As far as the geometry goes, I can't use a floor to make a graceful non-segmented curve like a wall. Unless I use walls to make the inner recess edges from walls and plug the middle of these walls with a shape generator solid and combine everything as a single object in order to make myself a "subtraction plug" that way and maybe then use this plugin. I wonder can this plugin tool be used to subtract from or slice into a wall itself?

This is the Sweet Home 3D forum. You can edit your posts for 3 days (I think). (see at the bottom of this post: it shows that it is edited.)

Not the plugin, it requires furniture objects. But you can export an object and import it as "Door or window" to cut into the wall. This will however cut completely through the wall, not an indention. You can export a mannequin and import it as "Door or window" and create a cutout in a wall with the outline of the mannequin.
But you can always export the wall and import it. Then it is a furniture object that works with the plugin.

Re: Custom Model Editing Using Walls & Floors

I don't see an edit button. At the top of my posts I see Quick Reply, Reply, Quote, Delete Post, and Split. On the bottom I see Printable Version, Profile, PM, Link, Report, and Go To Top. I do see yours is edited however. (Note: I just had to delete my post and repost again because I accidentally typed Quake Reply (button) instead of Quick Reply, LOL.

Anyway, I will try out the plugin and post results when I get time. Thanks again for telling me about it.
