Unable to store POV

I am a new user. I am trying to create a Home Assistant Dashboard floorplan. I need to be able to create multiple photo renders from exactly the same POV with various lights on/off (probably 40-50 separate images, as I have a lot of lights). For some reason the POV save feature doesn't work. It never returns to exactly the same position/view. Has anyone experienced this and can advise on a solution or on what I am doing wrong? Thanks

Re: Unable to store POV

Sweet Home 3D will save a maximum of 50 camera positions. You can create more but when you save the project it will only save the first 50.
There is a way around this with the CameraBag plugin. That plugin can export and import camera positions. That way you can create more than 50 camera positions and export them. When you save and restart your project only 50 will be saved but now you can import the exported camera bag to have all your camera points back for the duration of your work.

I suggest that you first install the Plugins Manager plugin. That will make installing and keeping up-to-date of all plugins much easier. You can install the CameraBag plugin using this Plugin Manager. Read more about the Plugin Manager here .

Someone else will have to help you with the position problem, I rarely use this and then only temporarily while working in a project.

Threads related to camera positioning, one of them might give you a clue to what you can try:

Re: Unable to store POV

hi. If you create renderers using a virtual viewer, for example, I do it very simply. I write down the necessary camera positions on paper, all the lines (X, Y, rotation, tilt of the head) including the height of the viewer's eyes. And then, at any moment, even after a few years, I can look at my brilliant interior from that very angle again. biggrin Paper and numbers are eternal. blushing
