frame size for video. A question for the developers
hello. I'm trying to use the Video tool for my work again. I really miss other frame sizes in the video settings. Currently, 4:3 (small and medium pixels) and 16:9 (large pixels) frame proportions are available as 3 and 4. Unfortunately, in interiors inside cramped rooms, the best frame format is a square. In this case, maximum visual coverage is obtained and non-maximum viewing angles can be used. The walls, floor, and ceiling fall in equal proportions. With long proportions, you have to make the viewing angle larger to show the floor and ceiling, and terrible distortions occur at the edges of the frame in the video, making it impossible to watch the video. Is it possible to make a square frame format in the settings for high-resolution video? I would really appreciate this opportunity. And for the answer, of course, in any case. Even if this solution is not yet possible.

Re: frame size for video. A question for the developers
The video options available in Sweet Home 3D are very limited, limited by the renderers. For longer and better movies you will have to use other video production software. Here are some posts that show amazing video work based on Sweet Home 3D projects.
DaVinci Resolve has a low learning-threshold for doing simpler things ( like making a gif ). At the same time it has the power to do complex tasks – things like video editing, animation, colour correction (grading), advanced graphics (VFX), automatic subtitling and text-effects, as well as offering adequate tools for sound design, including Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D. DaVinci Resolve is a must-have industry standard program for professional post-production artists. And the best thing is that it offers a completely free version, fully upgradeable, with only a few insignificant limitations vs the paid version – things that only professionals need. DaVinci Resolve is used to create magic in most major Hollywood productions. Have a look: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve This program is highly recommended for any level of ambition in video creation. And there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube, covering any possible operation you want to perform. Runs on Mac, Linux and Windows.

Re: frame size for video. A question for the developers
Hi Keet. thank you! Yes, this post is very full of interesting thoughts. But for now, I need a different frame window size. A square window is better suited for videos and photos in small rooms. Of course, you can crop 16:9 later, but the rendering time is wasted on these extra spaces. If the window is immediately the right size, then the rendering time will be minimal. This is the main thing at the beginning of the process. In SH3D, these capabilities are needed for the initial basic work, and then you can leave for further work and processing of the initial material in other specialized programs. Is it possible to add this feature to the video SH menu? As it is already in the SH photo. I'm currently preparing an interesting mix of AI and SH3D videos, but the SH3D video comes with a different frame size (not like the AI photo renders) and the gluing will look strange. And the SH video in 4 seconds is supposed to load 65 hours ((. with the right frame size (square), I hope it will be 40 hours))))))). And that's better))))))))) I will publish my experiment on Wednesday. But my main thought is that for cramped rooms, you need to adjust the frame size in the video, just like for the photorender. This will reduce the working time and it is right for the perception of the interior (the last is probably the most important thing)

Thanks, there's probably everything here. But I am not able to understand it. For people like me, you need a big, simple round button. But thanks again.
