Photo-rendering failed
I finished a design and want to render it in 2nd best quality. This stops or doesn't start at all.
I already changed the pc to one with a better videocart, installed an older javaversion 8 192 (because I read that in one of the posts). It worked better for a while, but a next time it stops again, get a red cross (again).
I'm out of my means, please help me out. I have to present the design in a few days.

Re: Photo-rendering failed
In addition: I also cut the design in 2, to see if less objects would work better.

You are out of memory.

Follow this link:

Look at this section:
How can I adjust the memory used by Sweet Home 3D?

I'm recovering an old project with was created and well rendered with my old Core 2 Duo....

Re: Photo-rendering failed
If you're under Windows, do you use the 64 bit or 32 bit version of Sweet Home 3D (see About dialog box)? If you use the 32 bit version, try the 64 bit version by running the installer again and selecting the 64 bit architecture.

Re: Photo-rendering failed
Hello Emmanuel, i tried both Windows versions.

Also tried to reinstall JAva up to lastest version, but nothing change.

Maybe the problem is my computer (something is not working properly) or maybe the problem is my project (Very complex and started some years ago, and returned now.

Re: Photo-rendering failed
Mi old project had lots of custom furnitures and textures, so i'm trying to delete everything, and sometimes works. But sometimes crash. So maybe it's about my project. If i made a new basic example, one room, one standard bed and one standard wardrobe, works well. So i will try where is the limit. I'll let you know.

Re: Photo-rendering failed
Adjusting the memory, as Xsite suggested, helped for me a small bit on my own pc. I borrowed another pc and where rendering was very slow or blocking first, by adjusting the memory it worked great, better than ever before. So I need a new pc to, or perhaps reinstall the old one.

Hansmex, if you find other options for improving this matter in the file of decasicko, will you publish it here? Thank you in advance.

Re: Photo-rendering failed
After some PM with Hans, and checking Installing/Uninstalling some times Java and Sweethome3d, we determine, the problem is my computer.

I made a fresh install in a laptop and works fine. (Even modifying .ini file to adjust max memory), but my computer (I7 with W10 /16GB RAM/4GB graphic card) doesn't change, offering me maximum 0.4GB.

so maybe some software installed in my computer makes SH3H having incompatibility.

I will continue trying options in my computer, and until i find a solution, i will edit with my computer, and i will render with the laptop (Less powerful)

Re: Photo-rendering failed
The problem with decasicko is/was that he tried to render a 100MB file in 0.5 MB memory. He is now trying to increase memory allowance on his PC.

Re: Photo-rendering failed
Bu my computer doesn't let me more than 0.4Gb, although i have 16GB RAM.

I tested in other two computers and works fine, and memory allowance is good figures.

Something in my computer is not working well.

So, because is my problem, and not a program problem, i don't want to disturb.

If i reach a solution i will tell you in case somebody else share my problem.

Does the About dialog box show 32bit or 64bit?

Re: Photo-rendering failed
Hello all. SOLVED.

Finally using this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3Hj83J0ekk), and Changing the value in the first step (I modify it with -XMX8g not delete) and now i start SH3D and i see:

Java version 1.8.0_202 - 64 bit - 0.1 / 7.1 GB

So finally it's working.

thanks a lot to all of us hwo helped me here or with Private Message.

so the problem was, my system was blocking any change of memory in JAVA restricting to 512MB.
