biggrin   User directory occupies too much space in the system disk
I hope to increase the function of modifying the user directory of software. Now it occupies too much space in the system disk.
If it's 2.5GB's furniture library file. You need at least 2.5GBX2=5GB system disk space.
Temporary files that have not been deleted due to abnormal shutdown will actually occupy system disk space that may be 2.5GXN, possibly more than 10GB.
I hope it can be selected in the installer. And default installed in the software directory, you can move together.

If you don't want that Sweet Home 3D copies furniture or textures libraries in temporary files at launch, just make the SH3F or SH3T files read only.

It is best to make a custom user directory function, because many people are not willing to install the material library in the C drive.

You could set a second directory by setting com.eteks.sweethome3d.applicationFolders property as explained here and there.
You can even use some environment variables if needed.
