Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
This always happens...
This happened in 2 computers... I updated all the drivers and still doesn't work . I love this program but I hate that I have too run it always with java , always go to the web page..etc . I would love that the installer version worked. This is not the first time...

Here you got a screenshoot :
http://www.mediafire.com/view/887e9izzhxxmq4p/Sin_t%25C3%25ADtulo.jpg/file

I saw a post that said : ''I installed dxwebsetup.exe, JavaSetup8u151.exe and SweetHome3D-5.6-windows.exe. The problem was solved'' . How can I solve this??

Thanks

Antonio

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
Did you try to run the installer with the parameters /j3d.version=1.5.2 /os.arch=x86 as explained here ?

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
I know I am very boring.. For me isn't normal that a photo of 1920x1332px takes 4hours for render!! In Facebook I've posted a comment in Spanish and I know it wasn't the good place. I mean I did that with the instalation and works fine but when I type - Xmx2048 (for 2g) the program doesn't launch and when I type -Xmx1024 the program works... What's this??
I really love this program but rendering it's too slow and I know I can increase I read a lot of posts!! With previous version worked but with the latest doesn't.

Maybe you think that this guy (me) who is all the time sending you boring requests it's a very boring person but I have to do this because I don't want to loose this program.
If you want reply I'll be waiting. If not I will have to wait 4 hours for a simple photo.

PD : My computer : Lenovo ThinkPad x201 tablet windows pro x64 bits...

Thanks.

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
I don't know much about windows, but I can investigate on the net. Your Lenovo ThinkPad x201 has a total of 4GB RAM, Windows 7/10 occupies up to 2.5GB right after starting up.
And now, this is the part I just guess: if you allow SH3D to use 2GB, there is a negative difference of 0.5GB which causes a collision in the memory management.

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
It's 1024 + 512 = 1536

But this theory is only a theory! It could be another reason for your problem.

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
Thank you so much!! I deleted like 70GB of memory then I tried - Xmx2048 and doesn't work, then I tried 1536 and doesn't work too.
Thank you so much for replying me. Thanks for do this for me. smile

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
I saw that changing the resolution (1920x1300) to (1920x1080) goes faster. But it's very strange that my pc with x64 and an i7 computer works solo slow. Anyway thank you so much for all done!!

Hey, a forum like this is made for helping each other and solving problems. If I can, I love to help, but unfortunately this time it seams I'm not able to do so...

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
Which windows runs on your computer? I found this on the web...
Why JVM not able to start on Windows XP when maximum heap space around 1600M?
This problem is most obvious on Windows platform like Windows XP, which tries to allocate a contiguous chunk of memory as requested by -Xmx JVM parameters. Windows reserves some space for his own and seems also allocate memory around half of memory address bar, which consequently reduces contiguous memory space somewhere less than 2GB, around 1500 to 1600M and when you give more than this size, JVM throws error as. Could not create the Java virtual machine. Invalid initial heap size: -Xms1.5G

Re: Graphic error ALWAYS on the installer version
Antonio, it's not a question of being boring. There's no problem to help you but Facebook is simply not the place for support requests. You should also be a little more patient. Don't expect an answer about anything immediately after you post a question.

If you installed the program with /j3d.version=1.5.2 /os.arch=x86 parameters (did you?), the program will run in 32 bit and the max memory you can request will be 700 MB. So trying a higher value might simply make Sweet Home 3D fail as you tried.
Note also that -Xmx option must be followed by a number and a letter (m or g for MB or GB).
