interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Dear users... There is no philosophy here... There is no story here... Just rendering fun. I decide to create this new thread because I still try to create new pictures with 1.3.2 renderer with a lots of different settings and still looking for the best results. With my new comp with faster and better graphic cards I am able to use more difficult settings here and try to find the way how to make the best of everything what sweet home 3d offers to all of us...and share some of my results here... I am not professional user and the graphic of my comp is mid ranged. The technical parameters of system are intel core i7 6700HQ and NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960M [for IT specialists] and are installed in Lenovo ideapad Y700...
I read and watch a lots of good projects, ideas and pictures of you so I hope it could be interesting for you to see this new thread with some new pics... And maybe you put some comments or good advicess here how to make it better.
I start this new thread with this 'proto picture"

And for all of you I made a screenshot with complete settings of renderer... Maybe it will be benefical for some of you who are still trying to find the best look of your projects.

And I am so sorry to @bdfd that there is not very big greenpeace theory or ideology here. love struck Just only the ambition how to create some design...and transform it from 2D to 3D without the help of Blender,Lumion or other rendering systems...

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Here is the time for the first battle... Not sure if some of these pictures looks photorealistic laughing .... But I try to make it this way. Both have some positives and negatives... I made the similar views with the "depth of field" option and I use Ceciliabr's simple photo rendering beta test with the setting S.B.=16... But this one picture I made by the bucket algorithm

and the second one by IPR

Is something good for you there?
Bucket looks more plastic but just like a Barbie house a little... And the rendering time is massive (I use path1) and the time was 31 hours!!!!! (2000x1125px AA2/3)
IPR picture (10000x5625px) was only sweet 10 hours...
Made by Lenovo ideapad Y700 intel core i7 6700HQ 2 cores 8 threads 2,6MHz boosted to 3,1-3,6MHz 16GB RAM.

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Hi guy... And thank you..
Yes.. I feel it the same way. 3D feeling of Bucket pic. is great especially on bigger screen. But the "barbie house effect " is funny. Sure..maybe it's not a problem of bucket but it could be problem of bad lens setting. But the second one looks more real for me.
Experiment continue....

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
another battle here... the same interior but different point of view...
pic 1 made by 1.3.2 renderer bucket,gaussian, aa2/3, radius 0,5, focus 500, path1, 2100x1181px time 9h20min

and the second one... I.B.L test /standard sky texture/ IPR, radius 0,5, focus 500, path2, 10000x5625px, time 14h46min

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Great renderings, Martin! So do I, I like very much the second picture of the living room (with snow and man). On the other side, sorry, but I hardly "understand" the picture just above: is there a sort of mirror behind the tv set? (maybe I am too old for this sort of decoration !). Congratulations anyway!

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Thanx @bdfd.
A little accident here. My new Lenovo Ideapad Y700 died after one month of using.!!!!!!! I lost boot configuration data of PC. Wow. My new projects lost too. Oh my God. I have to contact manufacturer!!!! We will see what will happen. But it looks NO MORE LENOVO for me....

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Oh my God ! crying
Fortunately it is still under warranty. biggrin
Request to be able to recover all your data otherwise there will be damages and interests ...

Hence the habit of making backups, personally have 2 external hard disks.
One for even months and the other for odd-numbered months.

You can take these arguments with Lenovo companies by saying that it was going ...

We are wholeheartedly with you. love struck

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Yes it is still under warranty. I have externall harddisc too. But I didn't save tha data from Lenovo there because I really didn't know this will happen after one month!!!! I saved only data from my old Asus.... Huh... I hope everything will be OK. But I want money back and I want to buy some different comp. Asus Rog I hope.

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
I am happy if you like Asus. Me too. I was very contented with my old Asus. Unfortunately it was the model with only intel core i3 system. That's why I decided to buy some new with intel core i7. But I tryed Lenovo and now I see it was very bad decision. I'd like to buy Asus Rog now with i7 and Nvidia gtx970M card. It's because I'd like to buy Lumion and like to try create projects with combination of sh3d and Lumion. We will see in the future...

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Thanx Mike. So.. I am back now. After longer troubles with my short love story with Lenovo ideapad comp /I don't recommend to buy this computers/ I bought my new one ASUS ROG GL502VT with intel core i7 6700HQ and stronger NVIDIA GTX 970M... I hope it will be better now.
But then come another troubles with 4K display and some troubles with renderer 1.3.2 in new sh3d 5.4 version '.. Thanx to Emmanuel Puybaret everything is OK now.
So after all these troubles it is the time to come with the very first interior picture made by new ASUS. I decide to came back to my older project KASTIEL in pseudo historic style. Here I made one exterior picture for better percepcion.
I renovate some textures /new grass or new pavement there and the picture is made by technique of indirect illumination.../ Time rendering was only 1 hour 50 minutes. It was much much shorter then previous i3 /more then 11 hours/.
And here is the very first definitive version of historic interior there in Kastiel. It is the picture of little private dining room situated in the left small pavilon.
This is a little contrast in comparison to my previous very modern design so I hope some of you who don't like modern architecture will be satisfy with this very first picture. And I hope some other pictures will come soon.
Thanx MSK

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?

Here I come with some new series of pictures for this topic. I change some settings. The most important was that I stopped to use indirect illumination setting. I use PATH 0 for every picture here. The rendering time is at about 3 times shorter of course. And here are my results.... /this is the real project for real living room and kitchen of my friend/

This is the plan only of this part of the house... /not full fouse plan smile /

Hi Martin,

I know I am late on this post but I discovered your amazing renderings only now in this forum. I would like to realize something similar one day... but I imagine it the road to reach this day will be hard...

Anyway, I tried to use the advanced rendering setting your parameter shown in the image, but when I choose global illumination to path the results are:
1) the rendering process does not start;
2) the rendering process starts but the image seems to be very dark.

Can you tell me how did you use the indirect lights in this rendering and in general? How can I find the right combination of lights to realize something similar, even remotely similar?

Thank you, and love your designs! :)

Re: interior rendering... photorealistic ?
Hi... I was not here on this forum for ages. Huh... the only answer if the picture seems to be dark for me is...you have to use stronger lights maybe....
