3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I'd shown a house in a collage of many homes I've created that didn't seem to be as well done as the others. I went back to it today and spruced it up, and now I've got better picture, as well as interior pictures of it (although they are just screenshots and not rendered pictures).

As a brief reminder, here is the collage that I'd shared.

It's the house in the top right corner, listed as "3B2b2S alt".

Here are the new pictures.

Three views of the outside, three screenshots of each level.

The Great room, two different views. I wasn't sure how to depict it but the fireplace is supposed to be a a pass-through one into the kitchen area.

The Kitchen, three different views.

The stairway.

The Guest room / Study.

The ground floor bathroom.

The Laundry room.

The Garage, two different views.

The back porch. I'm not very fond of the top of it though.

Now onto the next floor.

From the top of the stairs, looking back to the overlook area.

From the overlook area, looking back to the top of the stairs.

From the same point as the previous picture, looking down into the Great room. I think I might need to adjust the height of the roof as it looks like it's hanging down too close at its top.

The second Bedroom, two different views.

The Master bedroom, two different views.

The main Bathroom, two different views.

This room I didn't give a name as it could be used as a storage area or - like I did - as a sewing room.

And, to quote a very famous actor, "Th-th-th-th-that's all folks!" laughing

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I've once again have gone back to this house and have done some updates. So far I've been able to get rendered photos of the front and back. I ended up making a separate file in order to take this; furnished, the file compresses to about 116.5MG! I'm still in the process of trying to get the inside, although the open floor plan for the Living Room/Dining/Kitchen along with the overlook has the file almost too large for the best renderings.

Aerial front.

Aerial back.

You can see I've changed the wood texture, changed the texture on some of the walls, made the chimney larger and taller, changed the front door, etc. I also made the grill in the back patio "built-in"; I've also made the back patio better.

I also realized that there's a bit of space over the Loft/Sewing Room that I can have as attic space!

Below are screenshots of each level (minus all the roofing).

Thank you, bdfd.

And, upon looking at the Aerial back photo, I think I have a bit of a structural issue on a couple parts of those walls...

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
And now that I posted the previous photos, I updated the back a bit more.

No, I didn't fix the uneven walls (which I probably should have... I'll get to that shortly...) but I did add a back door and a walkway from the garage. In so doing, I moved the tree further away from the back wall, moved the water heater into the Laundry room and moved the heater to the back wall. Oh, and I removed the railing from the back porch.

Screenshot of most of the changes.

I usually do that as well, now, but I believe that this was one of my first projects, before I'd gotten the hang of it, and I've just been building up from there.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I just took a look at the latest picture, after fixing the walls, and something was nagging me about it... and I just realized that the one window on the top floor did show... I guess I didn't move it after getting the wall in the right position.

Also, I realized that I hadn't added a porch light to the new door at the back of the garage.

Here's a new picture of the back, aerial view, and I've changed the time of the picture so there's a bit more shadows.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Here are the virtual visitor pictures I've been able to get rendered so far. I'm still having trouble getting pictures of the Living Room, Kitchen/Dining area and Overlook because of the file size (I had made a separate file to try and get those done but it's over 60MB compressed and is refusing to get anything). As soon as I am able to, I'll share those too.

Exterior shots, first from the walkway leading up to the front door, second from the backyard looking up to the top floor loft back window. Of course I took these using the file without any inside furniture (except for those things that are actually built in.

I also felt that using frosted glass on both the front door and back door windows wasn't working so you can see I changed those.

Two views of the Guest room/office, first from near the door looking to the window looking out to the front yard, second from one of the corners looking to the desk (the door is just on the other side of the dresser).

The newly added attic space, taken from one corner looking to the the back wall; the window overlooking the backyard is near the center, and a corner of the foldaway stairs is visible bottom left. Not much hear of course. smile

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I figure I might as well add an update to this thread, since it's been a couple of months since it was updated, as well as share the file for this house (the unfurnished version that is) as it currently stands.

I'll also be adding updates to a few other threads as well, with a similar layout to this update.

3B2b2S Outside

Aerial Front

Aerial Back

Main Floor - Level 0

Top Floor - Level 1

Attic - Level 2

The changes have basically been almost all outside, with only the entryway closet inside being adjusted.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I decided today that I needed to make a few minor adjustments to this house.

I changed the big window. Does this look okay or should I change it back?

I changed the wall paint in the kitchen/dining area, added a backsplash, and made the island a little taller so that the counter with the sink is at the same height as the rest of the back counter area.

Also, not in any of these pictures is that I took the curio cabinet out of the dining area.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Something about the front of this house was bugging me a little; the way the entryway looked just didn't really seem to work well with the house. Yes, it is my design, and my original choice to design it that way. I'm not sure if the changes I've made to it work well or not either, but here's the changes. Rendering it wasn't working on this one either, so it's a screenshot cropped down to show just the front of the house.

With the changes I made I had to move the mailbox off the entryway, and I put it out in front. I took away the open windows, arched doorframe, and the walls from bottom part of the entryway. It still needed some kind of support for the top, so I replaced the walls with columns at each corner, and an arch I downloaded from 3D Warehouse between them.

I've changed the texture on the top part of entryway; I found a picture of dark wood shingles and used that. After using it there, I thought I'd better put it somewhere else on the house so that it all ties together, so I put it on the one forward facing outside wall on the loft area. Unfortunately, because I couldn't get it to render, the shingles just show as a dark brown. This is the picture I used:

I also thought that the one wall on the side near the chimney looked odd with the roughcast, so I changed it to the stonework I have on the front; I feel it seems to work better like that.

And after doing all that, I realized that the chimney I had used didn't really match either, so I found another one on 3D Warehouse that worked better, even though the roughcast on it looks very odd (although now that I'm getting a really good look at it, I think it might be a bit too tall now).

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I forgot to mention one thing about the new chimney. I meant to have it made out of the same stones as either the front of the house or the ones around the fireplace but because of the way the texture was showing it would have looked ridiculous; the roughcast may look odd but at least it's not that bad. laughing

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Last night, I was looking at my different pictures on a particular social media site and of course came across the one for this house, when I had a revelation... I need to add a walkway around the garage for the garbage cans, so that I wouldn't have to take them through the garage. And since I'm adding the walkway, I ought to decorate it with a gate, a fence, and a privacy wall, as well as some greenery. laughing

So, that's what I've been working on today.

Aerial view. Oh, and I did shorten the chimney by two feet.

Virtual visitor view, taken from next to the mailbox.

And since I did all that, I realized that I really didn't like having the garbage bins all exposed in the back; doesn't quite make for a pleasant sight when you have a summer barbecue party. wink So, I added a couple of short walls and a couple of gates.

----------------------------------------

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I just realized a short while ago that the privacy wall as well as the short walls around the trash cans that I just added yesterday are supposed to be stucco covered cinder block walls, and that 3 inches wide isn't thick enough to show that. So, they are now 9 inches wide (8-inch cinder blocks with about half an inch of stucco on each side).

Oh, and I figured that the privacy wall is likely to extend further than just the walkway, and I extended it to about the same point as the patio ends, although it's more likely to extend to the end of backyard in real life (if it were ever made) but I figure since that's where I ended the house I'll stop it there.

I also moved the grill/bar combination a very small amount because the way the patio beams interacted with it wasn't "even"... it was bothering me a little and since I was back there I might as well fine tune it. laughing

(I also changed the sky to sunset, just to see what it would like. I'll probably change that again later too laughing.)

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Okay, so I was a bit bored today and started messing around with this house yet again; doesn't help that I have this house set up as my computer's desktop pictures. Anyway, here's the pictures of the changes I've made, almost all of which were to the patio.

I evened out the walkway around the back of the garage and spread the trees out some, added a wet bar and a couple of metal bar chairs, changed the table set, moved and changed the wood on the china cabinet, and added a metal wall sculpture.

I did move the tree that's right in front of the house a little closer to the entryway, but that's the only change I made to the front, and because of that, I didn't take a picture.

Here's the screenshots of each level with the changes (minus the roofing of course).

Hopefully these will be the last changes I make to this house (for a while anyway), unless anybody has any suggestions? wink laughing Here's a copy of the house (unfurnished) if anybody wants to do anything with it.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Surprise, surprise! I've made a few "minor" changes to the outside of this house once again. laughing

Once again, I'm not able to take any rendered pictures because of the size of the file (over 50 MB compressed), so these are screenshots.

I changed the beige roughcast texture that's on the walls to a slightly darker beige stucco texture I'd found online. I took out the sassafras tree that was in front of the house and put in more of the skinny trees, as well as took out some of the skinny trees that were in front of the Great Room window and put in the roses and lilies. I changed the width of the window to the Great Room from 9 feet to 8 feet. Hard to see in these pictures is that I changed the wood on the door frames to the dark wood. I wrapped the dark wood shingles around the one side of the house. I changed the countertops in the kitchen from the patterned tile to what you see in the third picture.

I think it looks a bit more impressive, yet more inviting. So, what does anybody think of these changes?

I almost forgot another small change I made.

I took off the paint from some of the small stones that wrap around the fireplace on the second floor. You can also see from this picture the small change I made to the door frames I'd mentioned previously.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I am so devastated at the moment; my computer crashed on me yesterday without warning, and I lost a good number of the house designs I've been working on (not to mention other things I'd saved on it). The ones that I didn't lose were ones that I downloaded to MediaFire, but some of those aren't quite updated (I posted those there then made modifications, but didn't save the modifications). crying

So, it looks like some of them I'm going to have to start from scratch, and some I'll have to update, hopefully with the help of the pictures I've posted here and on Facebook as references. That'll take some time though.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I was lucky with this house as I had a recent copy of it, although there were a few minor changes that I'd posted about that weren't included - easily remedied (here) .

As you can see, I found a slightly darker stucco texture that looks pretty good. I decided to not have the front greenery to be exact mirrors, and put that one sassafras tree back at the corner. I also changed the height of the short walls and gates around the trash bins in back from 3-feet to 4-feet high.

Then I got to thinking, how could I fit another bedroom into the house... here's what I came up with, in a separate file. The front is essentially the same (which is why there isn't an additional front picture below) but I added a bumped out section to the back wall which created a room large enough to put in a twin size bed with a small nightstand and a not-too-bulky dresser. In so doing, I moved the bar, stools and table set over to add additional walking space between the bar and the wall. Oh, and I removed one of the sets of hanging plants.

On the outside the addition looks a little too much like a last minute addition; does anybody have any suggestions to remedy that? I was thinking of maybe lengthening the garage, but this garage is pretty long as it is in my opinion... I was thinking maybe adding an storage room or something behind the garage? I don't know.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Since you now have a new mac, why not do the photo rendering in Quality 4?

The black countertop of the kitchen looks exactly like floor tiles. Maybe you can try increasing the scale in the material texture setting of the counter top from 0% to 300%-600%, so that it appears like a single slab of marble top.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Ever since I got the new Mac, I have been trying to render this house using all qualities and as low as 200 pixels width, but for some reason I'm still not getting anything. crying I don't know if this has to do with it, but I am using the free version of the software. Or maybe because, even though this computer is new I haven't installed additional memory chips? Here's a screenshot of the information regarding my new Mac:

Whatever the cause, I wish I could show at least one rendered picture of this, my second most favorite house.

As for the kitchen countertop, I did have a rather dark marble on there; I have since changed it. I have been playing with the scale of the texture for those and I think that I might have come up with a good size so that it doesn't look like lots of tiles.

Thing is, while looking at the kitchen, I realized that there was way too much brown; brown cabinets, brown backsplash, brown countertops, etc. Anyway, I changed the backsplash tiles to some blue glass tiles (at least I think they're glass tiles - they may be something else though) I found on the internet that kind of matches the blue wall paint treatment in the rest of the rooms around the kitchen. Kind of ties the area together you might say.

Thank you, vivekrarjan!

I think I've "fixed" the alternate version to make the back not look like I'd just slapped an extra room on.

I added a small office/storage room to the back of the garage and lengthened the new bedroom. In doing so, I've had to move the HVAC unit and water heater a bit as well as the garbage bins to the privacy wall. I also have the brick facade going all the way around the new addition so that it blends better.

I think I've gotten the alternate version pretty well done then. Any thoughts? smile

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
It's been a few months, but I have actually made a few minor changes to the alternate view of this house, mostly exterior but a few interior "tweaks".

1. I changed the stucco on the walls (and chimney) to a lighter shade. 2. Enlarged the roof tiling, and hopefully I now have them roughly the same visual size. 3. Made sure the woodwork on the doghouses were set so that they would render decently. 4. Raised the height of the patio covering by a foot so that it better matched the new extension, and in so doing I changed the size of the lighting as well as of the hanging plants. 5. Lowered the windows of the garage and the back office so that they were even with the other windows as well as the back door. 6. Removed one of the hedges at the front in order to have more room for the tree near the driveway entrance, mainly because if this were a real house that tree would need room to grow. 7. Enlarged the tiles in the Guest Bathroom's shower area, added the cabinet above the toilet as well as a pair of clothes hampers.

I'm also tempted on adding visible beams inside over the Living Room and the Overhang area, but I haven'd done so yet and am still debating on that.

I believe those are the changes that I made of this house. Before I did this, I also found a plan for a 1920's home that I liked and have been doing a "modern take" on it like I had for some other houses... as well as working on a Halloween costume or two.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Puybaret, I just downloaded the most recent version of the program, and when I went to increase the max memory as you had mentioned previously the part that I would be able to do so doesn't seem to be a part of Info.plist any longer.

With the free version under Mac OS X, click on the application icon of Sweet Home 3D while maintaining the ctrl key pressed to display its contextual menu, choose Show Package Contents item, open the Contents folder, edit the Info.plist file by dragging its icon on TextEdit application and update the maximum memory in the text <string>-Xmx1024m</string>, writing for example <string>-Xmx2g</string> for 2 GB instead of 1024 MB. Finally, save the file and relaunch Sweet Home 3D. If Info.plist is protected, you may run a command like sudo nano /Applications/Sweet\ Home\ 3D.app/Contents/Info.plist in a Terminal window to edit it (this command requires to enter the password of the administrator of the Mac).

I also tried opening a Terminal window as mentioned but once I put in sudo nano /Applications/Sweet\ Home\ 3D.app/Contents/Info.plist and hit enter it wouldn't let me enter my password. I've copied/pasted what my Info.plist file says, below.

Am I missing something? The only reason I'm writing this inside of one of my posts is because this is the post in which I was originally informed of how to increase my memory so that I can take rendered pictures. I tried to do so after downloading the newer version, and the program won't let me.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I'd like to apologize for the previous post here; I was having trouble getting pictures taken, but there isn't any longer an issue. I've been able to get pictures rendered of the original version of this house, furnished.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/4ai2268w4x24547...side%25282%2529.sh3d/file

Aerial Front. I used at least half as many hedges as before, just made them longer. I decided to take out the one tree in front of the house and have the greenery more symmetrical. I widened the front door. I thickened the gate near the garage and added a second one on the other side of the house as well as added another privacy wall. I changed the chimney.

Aerial Back. I don't believe I made any changes here.

Front entrance.

Just inside the front door.

Great room, two views.

Kitchen, two views.

Guest bedroom, two views.

Guest bathroom, two views.

Laundry room.

Garage, two views.

Back patio, three views. When I went to take the third picture I realized that I'd forgotten to add a porch light next to the door up the stairs so I added it. I then forgot to retake the aerial back picture; that's why there isn't one in the aerial picture.

Overlook and top of the stairs, two views. I just realized as I include this picture here that I have a wall issue (visible in the first picture) that I need to address. Also, I'm thinking of adding some skylights into the slanted roof over the Great room...

Bedroom.

Master bedroom.

Main bathroom.

Sewing room/loft, two views.

Floor plan, main floor.

Floor plan, first floor.

Floor plan, attic. I didn't take any pictures of the attic space because I didn't make any changes to it.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Just a quick follow-up post; I fixed the wall above the stairway. I ended up actually deleting the walls on both the first and second level and replacing them.

In so doing, I realized that I had a few other things that needed small adjustments, like the railing behind the chairs, the size of the rug under the chairs, and placement of the chairs...

I realize it's a bit hard to see from this picture (since I didn't make the roofing invisible to take it), but in order to adjust the railing, I made it about half its original size and copied it so that there are more balusters. The rug I made 6'6" x 12' instead of 5' x 13'; I think it now fits better in the overlook space. In doing that I moved the chairs, table and lamp so that they're more symmetrically placed on the rug.

Thanks for these nice images. This triangle fireplace is very original smile

I'd like to apologize for not answering to your message posted on October 15th. It was a short time after the release of the version 6.0, at a moment when I didn't updated the FAQ How can I adjust the memory used by Sweet Home 3D? yet. I changed the FAQ to make the difference between people who still use Apple Java 1.6 and the ones who use Oracle Java 1.8. Sorry again sad

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
That's alright, Puybaret, as it seems to have worked itself out in the end.

Just after my last post, I made a few additions to the inside of the house.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/k7h7nq44xa3b7hb...side%25283%2529.sh3d/file

I've added beams to the ceilings over the Great Room and the Overlook/Stairway. I adjusted the railings separating the Overlook with the Great Room (there's 3 instead of 2 so that there are now more balusters), and now I think that all the railings have roughly the same spacings. I've also added more posts to the ends of the railings.

The bookcases around the bathroom door were raised to 8 feet and I changed the wood used on them.

I then took a bit of inspiration from a couple of my other houses and put in a row of fixed windows above the Overlook.

I also adjusted the roofing so that there wasn't any disparities visible from the inside.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Oh, thank you so much. A great deal of time and thought have gone into this design.

And, once again, i've updated some of the items inside this house since my last post; I have not made any changes to the outside.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/22h707w8zdz8s19/3B2b2S_Outside.sh3d/file

Main floor floor plan.

Top floor floor plan.

Attic space floor plan.

I've made the roofing invisible to take the pictures of the floor plans.

Front aerial view of the bay of windows over the overlook. I wanted to add this picture to my previous post, but didn't get it rendered until the day after.

Just inside the entryway. I added a table, mirror, lilies, and a bowl.

Three different views of the Living Room. I found this Art Deco style fireplace that I just fell in love with and had to put it in here. Then I realized that I needed something on the mantle and found this small mantle clock. It's probably a bit noticeable that I did move the chandelier that's above the stairway more center to the room.

I think that I might have had the Virtual Visitor inside one of the glass-door-covered bookcases in that last picture or something as I have some strange reflections there...

Two different views of the Master Bedroom. The dressing table was the inspiration for the changes, both in this room and the Living Room. I found a dresser, end table and bed frame that I felt works well with the Art Deco look. I changed the size of the cedar chest as well as the wood used on it, and changed the light source above the dressing table.

Attic space. I added a single beam to help bring the light down so that it lights up the space better.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
This is kind of a long "story", but I wondered what this house would look like if I were to put the external stairs inside the house, so I started a separate file and did just that. I actually did this about a month ago, was going to share pictures of that but didn't get around to it. Then, when I went back to take pictures a few days ago, I realized that this house could actually fit on the lot my current real life home is sitting on, and I adjusted the property walls and trees accordingly.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/65aum72atp28cyi/3B2b2S_Alt.sh3d/file

After that, I realized that if I could put this home here, then I didn't have enough bedrooms to accommodate all the people that live here, so I ended up saving it as yet another file and taking the empty space above the Great room to make that area into an en suite bedroom for myself. Those changes I did take pictures of. I did make a few design choice changes in the kitchen, and because of losing the chandelier in the Great room I added some lamps, but other than that I didn't make much changes to the main floor.

Just inside the main bathroom on the top floor, looking toward the area where the door to the Sewing room had been. I also moved the toilet closer to that back wall, and moved the toilet paper dispenser to the wall.

Sewing room, from two different angles. The first is taken from where the door to the Main bathroom had been; I moved the filing cabinet (and lengthened it) to that wall. After doing that, I gave myself a bit more room around the crafting table by moving it. There's a door to the en suite opposite the doorway to the stairwell.

The new en suite bedroom, just inside the door from the Sewing room. The door on the left is to the bathroom. The door in the middle is to a walk-in closet. The last door is to the main stairwell, as seen in that picture above.

I didn't take a picture of the walk-in closet. Also, I didn't take any pictures of the rooms that were not changed.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Once again, I've made a couple of changes. This time just a couple of small ones.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/zqqhn290hgndizd/3B2b2S_Alt_2.sh3d/file

The windows in the front were bothering me being two different sizes, and I wasn't all that happy with the half round ones, so I found a window: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/ec5c30...8b5d709677/window-3-angle

I used that along with the fixed window in the basic library. I couldn't actually get both sides the same width because that front section isn't centered. Hopefully the difference isn't too noticeable.

I also added the triangle gable vent in the attic in place of the half round window. Finally, I switched the placement of the window and the towel rack in the en suite bathroom.

And now that I look at these pictures... I think I might change the front door... seeing as there are no longer any half round windows... biggrin

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I would have taken a picture of the front, but my roommate let me know that in order to have a two-story house on a lot like ours, we need to have more room on the sides than what I designated (at least on the side that I had the dividing wall only a foot or so away). So, the last month or so I've been working on an alternate floor plan of this house that would fit on our lot; it's very similar, but there are some differences.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/lgzz4k5cz64gs1d...et_East_-_Alt_3.sh3d/file

As you can see it's the same layout, has the same general footprint, just slightly smaller and the front is more symmetrical (as can be seen by the large set of windows).

As you can see, because of the changes I had to change some of the furnishings, but in some of the rooms not so much.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
Thank you, bdfd. I try to get good pictures for this forum.

And, you know me, I can never be... complacent?... satisfied?... with what I've posted, even if they look like they're finished... and that's where I am now...

Also, looking back at these pictures, I realized that the ceiling fan in the Living Room isn't even attached to the ceiling! Oops! So, back in I went to fix that... and I couldn't help but make a few minor changes in other areas as well. Some rooms didn't change, and some rooms with more changes than others. I'm going to post all of the pictures I have of this version - some old, some new.

Level 0

Level 1

Level 2

Aerial Front - added a mailbox, and took out the back pillars to the entryway as they didn't look right to me. I think that's all that I've changed here.

Aerial South facing side of the house - Level 1 windows have frosted glass, took out the single window in the Sewing Room between the back stairs and my bedroom door, and added three windows (with frosted glass) into the back stairs area. Also, showing the couple of changes to the front from a different angle.

Virtual Visitor Front - just showing the couple of changes to the front from another angle.

Virtual Visitor Entryway - just showing the couple of changes to the front from yet another angle.

Back, three different angles - added hanging lights, and moved the table set more centered under one the lights. Also visible in the third picture, on the North facing side of the house, you can see that in the front bedroom I've changed it from having three windows into two, and added two windows to the Master Bedroom.

I just realized that I had forgotten to mention the small structure in the backyard; it's a tool shed. smile

Just inside the front door, looking toward the Kitchen. I've changed the island in the kitchen; you'll see it better in later pictures. You can also see the change in the shadow cast on the ceiling by the ceiling fan in the Living Room.

Just inside the front door, looking toward the Living Room. Here's a better view of the ceiling fan; I kept its same dimensions but raised it 6 inches. The new Kitchen island is also somewhat visible here.

Living Room, from sitting in the middle of the corner couch - another view of the change to the ceiling fan. The new Kitchen island is also somewhat visible here too.

Living Room, from the side door, looking toward the front door - another view of the change to the ceiling fan.

Dining Room/Kitchen, three different views - changed the island, as mentioned before, because I didn't like both how high serving side of the counter was in order for the preparation side to be the same height as the rest of the kitchen counter areas, and I didn't like how tiny the chairs were. I had at first got rid of the chairs and tried to use taller ones, but that just looked awkward, then I found this island at 3D Warehouse as well as a chair that matched the ones with the table set. Problem solved. It's hard to tell but the countertop on the new island is the same material as the rest of the kitchen countertop; maybe I should put under cabinet lighting?

Now, if there are guests over, there will be seating for them. biggrin I also added a bit of colored tiling inside the china cabinet that's near the back stairs doorway for a bit of "pop".

First Bedroom - no change.

First Bathroom - no change inside, but the patio roof in the backyard is visible in the window.

Laundry/Utility Room - I realized that the countertop over the washer and dryer didn't render well before, so I made sure it did this time, by overlaying it with another countertop with a small backsplash. Other than that, no changes.

Main stairwell from Level 0. No changes.

Main stairwell from Level 1. Another "oops" that I noticed looking back at my previous posting was the wall quite visibly wasn't even as there was a line between Level 1 and Level 2. I fixed that, and that's the only change.

Second Bathroom. No changes.

Second Bedroom. The windows that are visible are where the only change to this room is; two windows instead of three.

Master Bedroom, two different angles - added two windows on the north facing wall, which dictated a change for the bed set unfortunately as I liked the one I had there, but the headboard was too tall. Also, I widened the bookcase a little as well as the dresser.

Master Bedroom Walk-In Closet - no changes, but I hadn't rendered a picture before.

Back Stairs - another space that I hadn't rendered before, but with the changes I figured I might as well. As mentioned before I added the three windows in here (with frosted glass) and I also moved (as well as changed the dimension of) the hanging light in here so that was more centered. It looks like the wall changes color there on the left in the Sewing Room, but that's the bleached wood of the storage cabinet in the room.

Sewing Room, two different angles. I added a full-length mirror to the wall near the bedroom door, a spot beam over it to highlight the person trying on whatever outfit made, and a person in front of the mirror. And, as mentioned above, the window on the South facing wall between the back stairs and my bedroom door was removed.

My bedroom - no change.

My bathroom - added another light over the vanity.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
So, the other day I wanted to look at this house (while on my iPhone that is) and realized that I hadn't posted any updated pictures since that website closed down except for the Christmas one. So, I decided to take free pictures to post.

I did make a few tiny minor changes, mainly just the outside stucco color as well as the color on all the exterior doors. I think that I also added the curb out on the street (which I don't see in the pictures). I did change the rose color on a couple of bushes, making them blue instead of the red. A slightly bigger change that I made was in the garage; I added more racks for the bicycles that are sitting on the ground. Oh, and I added the fireplace looks and lighting (on both floors) that I'd added for the Christmas picture. I think that those were all the changes made, at least that I can think of.

I moved one of the ceiling lights so that there's light shining into the standing shower.

I added a floor length mirror to the Master Bedroom's Walk In Closet.

I made the woman invisible to take this picture.

I made the dress form invisible to take this picture. Also, I changed the measurements of the sewing machine to match my real life sewing machine.

I moved the television.

The sink vanity actually rendered properly! I'm happy about that.

I feel I ought to discuss the main stairs.

If I were able to I would have the railing on the stairs - from top to bottom - designed just like the railing on the top floor landing instead of just the basic wood spindles. So, when looking at the pictures with those stairs to imagine them with the horizontal metal look up top.

Re: 3-Bedroom 2-bath 2-Story House
I had a few ideas on this house, and saved a new file of it to implement them. I've made a few cosmetic changes, as well as a few more substantial ones.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/c0hbh0iydpu9kb3/F6SE-A3b.sh3d/file

I've taken pictures, of course.

I just noticed that one wall being out of alignment as I post this picture; I have just now fixed it.

Here's the biggest change that I've made. I've made this bedroom smaller, took out one of the closets, moved the remaining closets, and added an en suite bathroom; the door is visible in the bedroom picture. In doing so, what had been the Main Bathroom has now become an en suite Master Bathroom; that picture is coming up.

I've moved some of the walls, enlarged the walk-in closet, shortened the bathroom (by removing the shower stall and rearranging the furnishings therein), and moved the bathroom door so it is now in the Master Bedroom.

I removed the fireplace from this bedroom and rearranged the furnishings. And I just noticed that one of the doors is shorter than the others... I've just now fixed it...
