confused   File type .skp => .obj
Hi!

I need to use some 3d-Models that are not in obj. or in any of the type SW allows... the one I'm currently trying to import is a Sketchup-object, that is to say a .skp, which obviously wouldn't work sad

I was hoping somebody would know how to change the type of the file, how to convert .skp into .obj for example, without destroying the attributes of the file?
confused

Do you?

Re: File type .skp => .obj
As said at the end of the 3D models page:
For Trimble 3D Warehouse models available only in SKP/SketchUp format, it is possible to easily convert them to DAE/Collada format by choosing File > Export > 3D Model... out of the menu in the free version of SketchUp.
Then you can import DAE/Collada files in Sweet Home 3D.

Re: File type .skp => .obj
if you want to import your scene/object into Sketchup there a importer here:
http://www.filecluster.fr/telecharger/FluidImporter-for-SketchUp-156566.html
It works well, and works fine with the free SU
