How do you PAN in 3d view?I know it must be possible, but when I hit space to go into pan mode it just rotates in 3D? What am I doing wrong?

How do you PAN in 3d view? I know it must be possible, but when I hit space to go into pan mode it just rotates in 3D? What am I doing wrong? |
