3D view won't select upper level Hello to all I am a new user working on a PC with Windows XP. I have built a (minimum) 2 level model of my house, but am having problems with the 3d view. The aerial view is fine and I can run the virtual visitor view of the ground floor, but I can't get the virtual visitor view of the upper floor. When I select display selected level on the ground floor, it works correctly and the aerial view only shows the ground floor. However, when I do the same for the top floor the whole house is still displayed and the visitor refuses to go upstairs! I have been through all the existing posts, the user guide and the FAQs, but found nothing of help. Can anyone help? |

Re: 3D view won't select upper level John, To view the upper level(s) of your design, right-click in the 3D preview window and select Display all levels; this will show all levels at the same time. If you want to see the topmost level, right-click in the 3D preview window and select Display selected level; this will display the level that is activated with the Level tabs above the 2D window, and all levels below that level. So if you have 3 levels and want to see the lower 2 levels, select Level 2. If you want to see all three levels, select Level 3. Re:
3D view won't select upper level Thank-you, this has solved half the problem, as I didn't expext selected level to show all levels up to the selected level. I have now managed to view upstairs by modifying the eye-level in the 3D modify options to a suitable height. Is this the only way to move the visitor between floors, or am I missing something? Getting there slowly! John |

Re: 3D view won't select upper level John, Yes, and no. Yes, it's the only way to move the virtual visitor around. No, because after selecting a view position, you can store it using 3D view -> Store point of view. With 3D view -> Go to point of view you can then revisit your view points by selecting one of the view points from the list. Re: 3D view won't select upper level What about using the eyes elevation indicator available in the back of the virtual visitor in the 2D plan? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
