Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. Oops, there's a slight misunderstanding in my message. I was referring to the bird in your avatar. I'm not trying to integrate birds into my Sweet Home 3D project. I'm learning how to use the software to model my land and the aviaries that will be built to physically house my birds. |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. My apologies. I am brand new to this and quite lost. I don't even know how to post a subject here. I have spent hours just looking for bifold doors but every file type I download doesn't work. I do find it odd that standard bifold doors are not in the doors and windows category. Appreciate any help for the newbie. |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. At the top right there is a button "New thread" that allows you to start a new thread, for example to ask a new question. There are not that many bifold doors but I have a manual how you can create them. See manuals on dodecagon.nl. This might be a little difficult for a new user but it does give you a bifold door that you can open. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. Thank you for the info on folding doors. If you don't mind I can't get any answers to my posts on the Cabinet Maker plugin. I spent an hour designing a base cabinet as a model for my entire kitchen but when I finished and clicked on "Okay" I got nothing! I can't find any support for the plugin. |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. Try this thread for info about the Cabinet Maker. That is also where you can ask the developer of the plugin questions. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. Hello everyone I've just finished this house Whose major challenge was: The slightly curved roof slopes, which is absolutely characteristic of storybook and fantasy houses. Without it, house wouldn't look fantasy and story-booky, but a normal tudor-style house. I share with newbies (experts may not appreciate it) the objects I created to make this model: ![]() You will find how versatile "trim arc (2 parts)" and "half-timbering (atom)" are if you use the different model parts to make one of them invisible, and the multiplier and "copy as new furniture" tools. I always wanted to model a tudor-style house with all its fancy timbering. Finally I created a versatile object to share w/u. The pieces were created with Freecad. The whole 1-piece roof was difficult, but I finally achieved it. I hope your comments. Enjoy the home: ![]() ![]() ๐๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ฝ๐ *Improve your textures by turning them into seamless textures. This means, copy a left-right mirror of it beside it, and a bottom-up mirror image of it below. You'll get a seamless texture wich will look too better in SH3D. In my "Storybook-style house", the 1st storey walls used this technique, as the floor of the garden and all the rooms. You'll see they look seamless (is not visible where one picture ends and starts the other). *To build more realistic chimneys: Build the narrow walls of the chimney and export it as obj file, then import it again as "staircase". This will make the chimney open a hole in the rooms. This way, smoke will properly escape. LOL. I made it in this house. ๐๐ป๐๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ I copied this house from a picture after looking for "fantasy house." When I almost finished, I realized the 3rd storey wasn't accessible. No possible stairs to be inserted to arrive there. So the solution was to elevate the roof 1.22m; but the dormer stood not accesible. So, I placed there a box for a character to be able to use the dormer. LOL. It could be used as an elevated bed. Anyway. Thank you for viewing and commenting. ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ธ I've just realized Dropbox won't allow anymore the download of shared files (at least for free). f*ck! I will make an account anywhere else to share the objects w/u. I apologize, but this will take some time and I don't want to lose this post. I'll share a link, I promise. PD: My old posts had images from imgbox but this website is down, so images don't appear. |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. Urinal, ramp, long span girder and ramp. In the first image you can see a guy in the bathroom. Nevertheless, the important thing are the urinals, the long span girders and the wide pan tile. I am sharing them for you today in the link provided. The second image is a ramp, with two 'steps' of slope at 10ยบ and 1 rest, an all his railings individual, in case you want to make them invisible and repalce them with a wall or something else. Urinal is modeled with 2 tubes side by side, but you can make invisible 1 of them in the extreme urial of a line, as it is in the picture. The long span girder is the atom part (the minimal fraction), but you can easily mulptiply it with the multiply tool. This building is a big saloon for parties. I like to make and share models because: 1. I love SH3D 2. Free models are each time less 'free'. Webpages that are supposed to share free 3D models are losing its quid, they are flooded of advertising or bills you in the deep end of a rabithole of clicks. I still believe in a collaborative and free creative work in Internet. Don't forget to tell me anything. link link here |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. I'm going to re-upload all models to mega, because dropbox made unavailable the compressed file sharing. Unless you give them money, of course, but I wont. Please be patient. |

Re: My small (very small) contribution of 3D objects. Old uploads are still available to download. It appears like this: The small down-arrow in the top-right corner will allow you to download. But, from certain day, downloads require payment from the uploader's part. So, dropbox is still useful for uploads made before such deadline. I hope they don't change it. |
