Angeled beam? Or plane? Howdy! Is there any way to draw a beam in angel? Beam = long, thin box Or a plane? Plane = very thin, wide box ... or a wall in anle? |

Re: Angeled beam? Or plane? Yeah, this is close enough. It would be great to be able to rotate some stuff, like boxes. Maybe in the future? Thank you! |

Re: Angeled beam? Or plane? Thats worth trying. Did I understand right, first I make an object, then export it and then import it but turn it? Good idea! I think that it would be really nice to be able to turn objects in all, x y z, axis, too! |

Re: Angeled beam? Or plane? Dunkel, Remember that exporting/importing a model in SH3D only allows rotation by 90 degrees. Nevertheless it's a start. Another possibility might be to use a 3D design program like Art of Illusion or Misfit 3D . Both are open source, run under Windows, Linux and Mac, and are (more or less) easy to use. Blender is another possibility, more possibilities, but more complex. All programs can export to OBJ format. You could design something in these programs, give it the desired rotation, or you could import a model and rotate it, and then export it. I'm busy translating and updating a tutorial for Art of Illusion, and am thinking about writing a starters tutorial for Misfit 3D. Re: Angeled beam? Or plane? Yes, importing allows only 90 degrees. However, if I first turn with 3D Home the beam in proper angel, then export, then import and turn 90 degrees, then I get it right :-) Thanks for the program tips. They look very pro. Right now I'm happy with sweet home, it is the first 3D ever I have been able to create some 3D stuff :-) |
