Second Floor Interactions with First Floor
Hello,

I'm wondering if it's possible to have certain interactions between the second floor and the first floor.
-- Lights from second floor visible when first floor is being rendered
-- Shadows cast from second floor being visible in first floor view

When taking a photo of the second floor, I am able to see lights and furniture from the first floor (i.e., there's a balcony overlooking a 2-story greatroom).

When taking a photo of the greatroom/first floor, I am not able to see (a) lights on the second floor and (b) shadows cast by lights from the second floor.

For example, I have a balcony overlooking a 2-story room. I cannot see shadows from the balcony railing when taking a picture of the first floor.

Is this possible in Sweet Home 3d?

I’m not sure but it looks like you’re trying to design a mezzanine. Reading this article should help you to design correctly floors and ceilings for that case.

Re: Second Floor Interactions with First Floor
Thanks. I've done basically this and can see the second floor when doing a virtual visit. The issue is when I'm viewing just the first floor from the overhead view and taking a photo, the second floor isn't rendered and therefore does not cast shadows.

Be sure to select the menu item View 3D > Display all levels.

Re: Second Floor Interactions with First Floor
Emmanual, I think DATAstrm is talking about having the lighting and shadows cast from floor 2 onto floor 1, even when floor 2 is invisible.
