Re: round doors or windows in a round wall ?

The depth of doors and windows placed on a round wall must be set manually. If needed you may want to add an additional invisible box imported as a door or window, to perform the hole in the round wall (see this example).

Re: round doors or windows in a round wall ?

Thanks for your quick answer Puybaret. I hope I'not being annoying, but still: could I acchieve that this fixed window also has a round shape to flush with the wall? I mean, it's not only the depth but, like by the walls, the arc-extent-angle of the choosen piece (window or door). Is it actually possible and if yes, where can I edit this property . Do I need an extra program like furniture editor ? Thanks again.

Re: round doors or windows in a round wall ?

The program isn't able to compute the hole of non rectangular doors and windows in round walls in the current version. The support of this feature would require a lot work for very very little use. You'll have to import your window with some wall parts designed in an other software like Art of Illusion.

Re: round doors or windows in a round wall ?

With a bit of effort - and some model creation - what you ask for is possible. Maybe the windows in this example can be of help. If you can make the windows work with some stretching and fine-tuning, you are welcome to use them (license CC-BY, but I am not fuzzed...)

ok

PS. Sorry, copy of personal model, couldn't be bothered to add window openings etc.

Re: round doors or windows in a round wall ?

FYI: Sourceforge 295 updated with second example of arched walls with windows.

See this thread: Fenêtres circulaires with image of problem (in French).

ok
