Just noticed this in the agreement for v. 7.6.1:
" When we speak of free software, we are referring to freedom, not
price. Our General Public Licenses are designed to make sure that you
have the freedom to distribute copies of free software (and charge for
this service if you wish), that you receive source code or can get it
if you want it, that you can change the software or use pieces of it
in new free programs; and that you know you can do these things."

Umm, yeah, like anyone in the world refers to "free" this way. Free to share, free to distribute, even free to charge others. SweetHome3D should not be saying "free" anywhere online, including on their own website - they know people will assume they mean free of cost. Come on now.

I just tried to rename a room in a file I've had before all this nonsense and it wants me to now pay for a subscription. Some people have really gone mad with greed and it's so disappointing. Why the F would I pay every single month for files I've had for YEARS and simply need to make very small changes to? It's insane. Take me back to the 90s when you bought a program for a flat fee and didn't have to continually pay for it.

@MarciB Ahem... https://github.com/DobryDom3D/DobryDom3D

Forked from the last publicly available GPL source version (7.5).

As far as I'm aware, Space Mushrooms have not released any new code under any license since purchasing SH3D. They really, really should stop claiming it is distributed under GPL. Newer versions (7.6) do not have source available. They have pushed 7.6 binaries into source forge while still claiming on the main SF page that it is GPL.

I'm half expecting to get banned for making negative comments and linking to DD3D, but for that they'd first have to pay attention to the sad remnants of the community.
