Lost 3D view

Just found, installed an used Sweet Home 3D. Great tool, my grand daughters spend hours planning dream homes!

Suddently, during working with a layout the 3D presentation disappeared, the 3D window is empty.

Save / reboot / restart / reload of model did not help.
Other saved models and new models still work fine.

Have no idea which action caused the problem. Circumvention available? Or should i report a bug?
Any chance to recover the model in error?

We use
- Win XP Prof German
- Sweet Home 3D version 1.5.1 (German)
- Java Version 1.6.0_11

Regards
Ulrich

Re: Lost 3D view

Is the plan pane empty too ?
What is the size of the SH3D file ?
Can you open the SH3D file with a ZIP tool ?

Re: Lost 3D view

thank you for looking at my forum thread.

- All planes look normal, with exception of the 3D-plane which is empty.
- SH3D file size is 3258KB.
- Opening the SH3D file with ZIP tool gives 40 files named "0" - "39", plus one file named "Home", all without extensions.

More about our problem model:

- there are two layouts side by side (ground floor 1st floor). Before the 3D view disappeared, they were shown shown on the 3D view.

- there was something wrong: on the 3D view an object (circular stairs) was shown "in" a wall, which was not shown on 2D plane and not listed on objects list in lower left plane.

Re: Lost 3D view

I think the 3D view is viewing the ground or a place where there's nothing to see.
Please, read the help about 3D view or the user's guide http://www.sweethome3d.eu/userGuide.html#editing3DView to see how you can navigate in the 3D view.

If you still have some problems, you can send me your SH3D file at puybaret@users.sourceforge.net to let me see what's the problem.
