Re: Fatal Error... update from original poste

If anyone is interested, after searching again through these posts, I realized I had overlooked a comment by the developer that mentioned updating the video card driver. Unfortunately, my old Dell laptop has its own issues with video card drivers in Linux, and if anyone knows how I could get above the 810 driver and (hopefully) be able to use Sweet Home 3D again, that would be great.

In the meantime, I was wondering what a recommended amount of memory to be allocated to the card would be? I set it at 300k, should this be enough to run the application?

Thanks for any help given...HB

Re: Fatal Error... update from original poste

Sorry if I'm not able to help you more than that, but I don't master video card drivers configurations.
Anyway allocating 300k to the video card is probably not enough.
If you know Java, maybe you could checkout the project and use Java 3D 1.3.1 instead of Java 3D 1.5.1 library.

Re: can´t run sh3D

Sorry for this problem. It's probably a problem with your video card driver as described in bug #1811441 https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?fun...id=152568&atid=784665
Once Java 3D team will have succeeded to fix this problem, Sweet Home 3D will be able to warn you about this problem in a clean way, at least.
