Fix for java error, nvlddmkm stopped responding, application blocked from accessing graphics hardware
Hello all, new here but have used Sweethome 3d for several years for house moves and extension planning.
Recently I started having a large number of crashes on my main PC which has an Nvidia Titan X Pascal installed. Crashes seemed to relate to "application blocked from accessing graphics hardware, application Java platform SE 8". I found a few references on the web about this with fixes but they didn't work or seemed unlikely to work.
The crashes varied from Sweethome closing to black screens and having to reset. I initially got the odd crash but in the last few days I couldn't really use the program at all without a crash.
Looking into the event logs it was pretty clear that the problem was graphics card related because all the errors referred to the display adapter, nvlddmkm not responding or javaw.exe being blocked.
I noticed that when I loaded Sweethome the Nvidia Geforce experience overlay kept popping up. I didn't remember this happening before so I uninstalled the Geforce experience program from my system and this fixed the problem completely.
Hope this will help someone else in the future.
PS - At the developer, can you, at some point and the facility to have a grid :) Also - multiline text tool would be awesome :)

Thanks for your feedback
The grid in the plan can be viewed or hidden in the plan with an option in the preferences. If you want a grid in the 3D view, please read this tip.
