I have now tried all 3 versions with SH3D 6.0 6.1.2 and 6.3. The only way I can render with yafaray is with PVR 1.9.
The logistic problem here is that there's no way of telling what version of yafaray is actually loaded, since it's only possible to replace the current version with the new, and I have no way to verify that the replacement has actually taken place, and that no remnants from the other versions are left in some hidden cache or settings file. This makes it impossible to get qualified results.
I'm really most happy with PVR 1.9 and SH3D 6.0. It's a stable combination for OSX 10.13.6.

You can also find here the direct download links for the YafarayRendering plug-in versions. If several versions are installed, only the last one is taken into account.
Remember to install only one version at a time, removing the old one. You can check the version in use in the "Plug-ins" section by clicking on "Help -> About... -> Libraries...".

Okay, so I have spotted one problem with my setup: Whichever version I load of the yafaray renderer, the libraries only says yafaray 1.3 beta. This beta version is not among my downloaded files, so I have no idea where it has come from.
Now I have deleted all instances of SH3D and everything from the libraries, and reinstalled SH3D v 6.3. With my configuration, Yafaray v 1.3 does not work. All the other versions work.

Try this :
Launch a rendering with version 1.9 by night (01:00 AM) with a night texture and the yarafay method... SH3D will crash quicky !!! Good search. .

As you can see here, I have no rendering issues with the textures and sky lighting enabled at night.
From your other post, the problem seems to be with an object in your project that YafaRay is having a hard time rendering.

Yes, I arrived at the same conclusion but which one ?
Strange, it's OK in day light and no in night time ??? Never see before this in 10 years of SH3D...
All other projects are OK. .
