I have purchased this product and when installed on my Mac only the start screen comes up but no other screen. Its the home loader screen which says the name of the software.
OS - OS X Yosemite Processor - 2.5 Ghz Intel Core i7 Memory 16GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 Startup Disk - Machintosh HD Graphics - AMD Radeon R9 M370x 2048 MB
Really strange... This kind of problem may happen on other systems, but not on macOS Would you be able to run Sweet Home 3D from a Terminal window to report here the messages it will say? Simply drag and drop Sweet Home 3D application in a Terminal window, type back space, copy-paste /Contents/MacOS/SweetHome3D and press enter. You could try also the free version but it will require that you install Java 6 too.

I have a similar issue. The program starts, I get the spashscreen, but it's frozen.

Jeremy, the first message of this thread talks about the Mac App Store version. Are you sure you're talking about that version or the free version? If it's the free version, would you have some jar files in the folder ~/Library/Java/Extensions if it exists? If it's the case, remove them, it should work better.
