Re: Some examples using the indirect light
Hi Mike,
... i'd try it myself if i had any idea what it all meant...
Here , you can get more info. At first, I advise you to test with sunlight only to compare with the "reality" and uses diffused bounces 1 or 2 to not have rendering too long.

Photo made in 1800x1350 pixels then resized to 900x675.
SweetHome3DExample9-WoodenShed - Photo rendering time: 4h 17min (aAmin 0, aAmax 0, gI path, dB 1, with enhanceExternalBrightness)

Re: Some examples using the indirect light
What is the interest of published images of poor quality ? It seems for me 'povray' in early nineties years...
I hope the next pictures will be better (and to compare them) ?

Re: Some examples using the indirect light
here are mine experiments by indirect illumination..../bathroom in 50's style/.... all pictures made by IPR rendering.... 6000x4000 pixels....then resized to 1000x667 pixels rendering time from 12 to 14 hours....by slow graphic card for me indirect light technique looks really realistic....the only one problem is rendering time for slow comp of-course....but I start to prefer it more than "default" setting

That's rendering, excellent rendering !!!
FYI: Martin gave me the middle picture. On my PC the time was 03h04mn with same parameters...

I hate to sound like the ignorant American, but in this case I have no choice.
I am unfamiliar with those machines next to the toilet... the ones on the other side of the darkened glass. What are they?

Re: Some examples using the indirect light
@Aeowyn....I publish these pictures here because were made by indirect illumination rendering....the design is not the main topic here... I made this bathroom for real woman, for real place and for real situation in very little bathroom in flat built in 50's... It is full of compromises...that is real life, not fantasy project where everything is perfect and ideal.... That machines are central gas boiler and little wash-machine. There's no other space for that machines in little flat... So I try to made gray glass panel for a separate illusion of these machines to the rest of bathroom. And that design and colors I made by request of customer in style of 50's... I watch a lot of 50's designs to made this bathroom most authentic.... It is not my favorite style but the customer was very happy because she loves this style. It was a good experience for me..... @Aeowyn I know that you don't like my designs and I accept it but you forget one think here....and it is that designer made his designs by request of customers and have to resolve lot's of not very ideal configuration of electricity, gas configuration and the finance of customer...

Re: Some examples using the indirect light
Alrighty... I don't understand where that came from... all I did was ask a simple question... Thank you very much for answering it... I'm fine with why these pictures are published... I never said that I didn't like your designs... if I've said anything that might have seemed like I was berating anybody I am completely and utterly sorry for upsetting anybody... I'll stop posting then...

Hi Aeowyn, I for one have never perceived your posts as anything but constructive and positive - and certainly not upsetting. And that includes your comments in thread 5766. So as far as I am concerned, there is absolutely no reason for you to ..step back from whatever is going on... ok
