system slower since update

Since the update to 5.2 and 1.6 the system is a lot slower. I have to wait quite a time after importing or changing objects. Is there a way to speed it up?

Re: system slower since update

The changes in the program shouldn't slow it down.
Did you reinstall Sweet Home 3D 5.1 to check that it really runs faster with that version?

Re: system slower since update

@hobbyrv

If you haven't yet, restart your system. After upgrading to 5.2a, I ran into a number of issues -- including inordinate delays after modifying an object (or simply opening an object to modify, and then canceling out of the action). I also ran into some rendering oddities. Long story short, after spending a night running tests, timing processes, and making notes towards opening a problem report, I nded up rebotting my system for other reasons... and discovered all of my problems had disappeared. I'd begun the day running SH3D 5.1, and as best I can guess, certain 5.1 libraries or modules must have been left open and therefore couldn't be updated until after the reload...
