Re: Can you help me with a design?
Maybe you should give some additional information....
- How many bedrooms? - What other rooms do you want? - Should the house be close to the street? - What style do you want? Traditional? Modern? "Flanders Fantasy"? - Are there any requirements regarding use of material? Brick exterior walls? Material and/or colour and/or shape of roof? - Should there be a swimming pool? Granny house? Garden house/shed?

- How many bedrooms? 3 (1 master + dressing and 2 for the children) - What other rooms do you want? Small office - Should the house be close to the street? No, the only thing that's important is that you keep 10 meters free in the back - What style do you want? Traditional? Modern? "Flanders Fantasy"? - Are there any requirements regarding use of material? Brick exterior walls? Material and/or colour and/or shape of roof? I really like this house: http://www.gruwez.org/nl/realisations/landelijk/manoir/VanderLooij - Should there be a swimming pool? Granny house? Garden house/shed? No

Re: Can you help me with a design?
Some 12 years ago I was looking in that general area (preferably a bit further South on the border to Wallonie, did not want to be biased) for somewhere to live. Rural, sensible commute to town (alternative roads), easy access to Zaventem (but not in runway path)... I could go on. Judging by the looks of it, you have found just the sort of place I could have wanted. Life took me elsewhere, but yes, I am envious
I will not propose a plan, not an architect and certainly no expert, but I know what I would have wanted. A mirrored L shaped building (_|), façade to the road, and afternoon sun in the corner of the _| towards the garden. Gabled roof with solar-thermal using whatever renewable energy Belgian sun can offer. A garage/driveway in to the house on SouthEast corner taking advantage of the high terrain with staircases up to the garden level.
