Re: I'm in a trouble please help

If Avast antivirus removed your files, they may be 'quarantined' (put in a 'vault') recycled or something. Maybe they can be restored? Check if the antivirus can provide more info. If you made a library of the models, you will be looking for .sh3f files originating from a userdata directory ........./eTeks/Sweet Home 3D/furniture , if you just added them to the catalogue, look for files with names similar to Furniture-3-3429939141839172619.pref from ........./eTeks/Sweet Home 3D/ . ok

Re: I'm in a trouble please help

To find out how to check whether your antivirus is involved, try a search, in your case something like: https://www.google.no/search?q=avast+virus+chest There should be help to find and illustrated step-by-step instructions.

Look for the files mentioned before, the ones that originate from C:\Users\<yourusername>\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\ (where <yourusername> is the name assigned to your directories. Please, post an update. If, in fact, antivirus removed the files, it could be interesting for others to know.

It may also be possible for Windows to restore files / system to an earlier point, depending on your settings (ask someone to help, maybe?).

Good luck. ok

confused Re: I'm in a trouble please help

I've used a software called recova to recover deleted files and searched for "furniture" and here are the results:
http://a7lashare.net/viewimages/1188111750.jpg
they end with *.pref as you exactly said, but they're not a library
I've recovered the files to "C:\Users\رنا\Application Data\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\furniture", What else to do? I launched SH3D and nothing changed! I feel so stupid.

Re: I'm in a trouble please help

Good work so far. But, the files should - methinks - not go in the furniture directory (that is for libraries, i.e. file collections, not individual items that you added to your own list), but the directory above (parent directory) "C:\Users\رنا\Application Data\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\ " (notfurniture). I cannot remember if there are references elsewhere needed to restore your stuff. But try moving the files one directory up. ok

Re: I'm in a trouble please help

Well, from your screengrab, it seems some of your files have been corrupted. But many look good.

1) Did "C:\Users\رنا\Application Data\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D" already exist? I am asking because on my win 8.1 computers, data files are stored either in "C:\Users\xxx\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D" or "C:\Users\ok\AppData\Roaming\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D". So maybe the directory is wrong?

2) But never mind that, now that you have found most of your files, I guess they can be salvaged manually. If I get this correctly, at least that is the way it is here, the .pref files you have found are really various compressed files. The larger files are likely to be the .zip versions of your furniture:
- COPY all the .pref files to an extra directory where you can mess with them (keep a backup),
- rename a large file to .zip instead of .pref as extension,
- open SH3D,
- drop the .zip file into the SH3D window.
IF the .zip file is in fact zipped furniture, it will import normally. IF SH3D tells you the format is unsupported, it is probably not a zip (but an image file, I think).
- repeat with next large file.

The remaining smaller files, will be I think, .png files with images of the imported furniture. Which you can ignore as the image will be generated again when you import (I think).

ok

PS 1: you can also check the files first. Rename all files to .zip and try to open them in Windows. If they are .zip, they will open.

PS 2: If you have used your furniture in projects (.sh3d files) you could copy and salvage them from there.
