How to install the last version of Sweet Home 3D version 4.3?
Can someone helps me?? My question is very simple: How to install the last version of Sweet Home 3D version 4.3? I am a fan of Sweethome since 2012. Actually from that time this is my favorite 3D program. I I work with a SweetHome version 3.5 (Java 1.6.0) per Windows, and today I just wanted to upgrade to the last version of Sweethome available on the web, So, I downloaded Sweethome 4.3 (Java 1.7) an installed it (because I was not sure if was or not necessary to uninstall the hold version I did it before installing the new version). Once I tried to work I started Sweethome 4.3 version, but something strange happened : Java web start (I suppose) tried to open the program but after a while the program crashed making necessary to log off the Pc and to re-start it!!! - But if I try to open Sweethome 4.3 directly by the shortcut icon on the desk the program works !! Why this happen?? More: Because I think something went wrong doing the download, I wanted to uninstall it, so I went to the Control Panel/ Program & Features in order to do it, but curiously I was not able to find Sweethome 4.3. How can be possible?? (Note that I checked also in the Program files with the same result. No Sweethome program was found!!). So, my questions are: 1) what I can do to correctly uninstall Sweethome 4.3 version from my Pc and once this done, how to correctly re-download it avoiding that strange things happen again?? I was not able to find Sweethome 4.3. How can be possible?
I think that the recent versions of Java Web Start don't add programs to Control Panel/ Program & Features anymore. But you can still find these programs with Java Application Cache Viewer, and remove them with that tool.
You should rather use the installer version available on the Download page to fix your issue.
