How can I render ultra realistic buildings?

Hello
I discovered this program yesterday and I can't figure out how to render ultra realistic buildings?

This is what I got so far, you can see how my design progressed during the night lol :p

What you need to make a picture close to the images you show are:
- high quality textures
- high quality textures
- high quality textures (incl. cloudy skies)
Basically that's it.
Add a touch of eye for detail. Or two.

Then if you're ready with your design:
- make a few test renders,
- makie a few more test renders, changing the lighting, time of day and geograpic position and orientation.

Then, last of all, add a few trees that are NOT too heavy on the leaves. SH3D has trouble handling highly detailed trees with many thousands of leaves.

vincwie, the main differences I can see between what you got in Sweet Home 3D and what you want are the trees and other exterior objects. You can download some trees and other objects from the 3D models page, but as Hans suggested, the more trees you'll use, the more time it will take to render. If you want a better sky, can find sky maps here.

It's weird in my version of the program I can only choose the date and time on the best quality mode?

I got some great treas from the site link you gave, all whats left I think is a high quality grass texture, but every grass texture I've used so far doesn't bring out those "grassprietjes" "brin d'herbe"(I don't know the english word for it) like it shows on the pics I posted.
All my grass textures look flat

and my final question, Is it possible to mark of a surface?
for example: If I wanted need to model a project which measures 70m by 50m, can I somehow mark of this area so that I cannot accidentally go out of range?

Use the Compass to set geographical location (Plan -> Modify compass or double-click the compass)
Click the compass and use the handle to change north orientation.
Set time and date in the photo or video window. Don't forget to remove the check mark in front of Add ceiling lights.

Use the Help function to learn about unknown functions.

If you want to see individual blades of grass, you have to use a 3D grass model. I found one in the Sketchup Warehouse, which I modified heavily (mainly reducing the size of the images). Even when I managed to reduce the overall size by more than 50%, you would still add approx. 1 MB for 1 m2 of grass. Not counting the inevitable delay in rendering. Here is another one which you will have to convert to DAE format.
