Objects and textures not saved.
Hello.
For some time (2-3 months, let's say) I have a problem with saving objects and textures. It works fine while adding a new one to the library, but when I close the Sweet Home session and re-open it, these are not saved. Do you have any idea how to solve it?
It is quite confusing to import every object and texture again and again...

I'm astonished that the program would let you save a buggy file... What version do you use?

Version 4.1
Why do you thing they are buggy files? I had a lot of objects and they were working fine. They dissapeared with the latest instalation and now, when I import them they remain only during the session. After closing and re-opening the program they are not there.

Sorry, I think I misunderstood you. I thought the project / home files you created weren't displaying the models and textures you use in them, but reading again your messages, I guess you speak about the models and the textures you imported. They shouldn't have disappeared during the latest installation, because they are stored in a separate directory. Under which system do you use Sweet Home 3D?

Re: Objects and textures not saved.
It's Windows7.
Right, after import: - if object/texture is used for the project - it remains in the project, no problem here - but it dissapears from the objects / textures list (library); if I want to use them again (e.g. in new project) I have to import them again
Previously, object/texture once imported was available in the list/library (menu on the left side) in each project.
To be honest I'm not really sure if the problem started exactly after the new version installation, I don't remember. It is more-less the same time that they both happened.

Re: Objects and textures not saved.
First, you should take care to select the Add to catalog check box at the third step of Furniture import wizard, if you want to appear in the catalog afterwards. Note that this check box is not proposed (and active by default) if you drag and drop a 3D model on the catalog panel or if you open the wizard when the the catalog panel has the focus. If your models don't appear in the catalog, you can still copy the ones you added in an old document and paste them in the new document.

Re: Objects and textures not saved.
I use the check box, thanks. What happen is: - object is added to the catalog and is visible on the left side menu - I close the project - I open the project - object no longer exists in the catalog
Looks like adding an object to the catalog is temporary only for the session. Catalog is cleared while closing the session.

The strange thing is that you seem to get no error. Would you have a tool that cleans your profile or use a remote profile that is automatically cleaned? Imported furnitures are stored in the folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\ (where user is your login). Could you track how the content of this folder evolves?
