First time user building a house plan to explore some re-modelling options. Can you help me with a couple of (probably) simple questions.
1) How do you show open doors? In 3D view, all my doors (created from standard door object) except 1 are closed. There's one open door so it must be possible to have them open so you can see around the house.
2) This is more a question of best-practice. I created a new floor, but some of my walls go right up through the building. I see I can either re-draw them on the upper floor, or can I extend the lower floor walls to continue up the full height. Which is best?
3) I have a staircase with a wall extending upward from the stairs to the ceiling, so the area under the stairs has no wall and is open to the room. Any suggestions for how to draw this?
Really impressed with this software. It's not the most comprehensive but it's really easy to learn and I've created a very complete 3D model in half the time of anything else I've used.

Re: Newbie user problems
Hello Simon.
Well these are my personal answers for your questions.
1) to have open doors you simply need to use the open door object, although it will remain fixed open since SH3d cannot manage the angle of the door leaf
2) if you plan to use different colors or textures for a same wall on each floor, then definitely you need to redraw the walls
3) if the shape of the area under the stairs is simple, for example a triangle, you can draw the wall from the floor and then insert transparent triangle object which you previously need to import marking it as a door/window, so it can "cut" the wall where it's inserted
I hope this helps.
