Advanced Photo Editing with Sweet Home 3D 4.x
I have just installed version 4.0 and have discovered that I cannot get the Advanced Photo tool to work in this version. I even re-installed the plug-in but to no avail.
I reinstalled my previous version (3.4) and it works perfectly. But not in 4.0. It is an item under the tools menu but when clicked on does nothing.
Anyone know of a fix or has had the same problem?

As said in various places, the Advanced Photo plug-in is not compatible with Sweet Home 3D from the version 3.4 which already includes all its features and more, even if they are presented differently. I wonder whether I should remove the plug-in to avoid this question which regularly comes back...

Please see the end of the user's guide. To help you find the plug-in file easily, click on the Libraries button displayed in the About dialog.

Yes, that's the correct dialog. For the two high quality levels there are some controls more, but not as many as the old plugin.

Some controls of the plugin are also available in the compass dialog too. Please read help for further details.

That's right. Anyway I was rather thinking of the render related controls, which now has disappeared and only some of them can be changed by the .ini file while others seems to have become some way hardcoded settings, as for example "compute glass transparency" or "use light angle as power knob".

I was rather thinking of the render related controls, which now has disappeared and only some of them can be changed by the .ini file while others seems to have become some way hardcoded settings, as for example "compute glass transparency" or "use light angle as power knob".
compute glass transparency became useless because the bug that prevented the light to go through glass was fixed in version 3.0. use light angle as power knob was a workaround to control light power and was replaced by the light power value available for lights in the furniture modification dialog.
