Sharing files between Mac and PC

I am a Mac user and my partner is a Windows 7 PC user. I created my first Home on my Mac and emailed it to my partner and she was able to open it and update it on the PC with no problem.

But when she sent the updated copy back to me, I was not able to open that on the Mac.

Is there a known issue here, or should we be able to exchange the file freely?

Re: Sharing files between Mac and PC

It's not the first time I've been reported such issue, even it should work correctly (I do it very often myself). As a SH3D file is actually a ZIP archive, I fear that mail tools perform some undesired operation on the file some time.
Did he attach the SH3D file directly to the email, or did he attach an archive containing the SH3D file compressed at ZIP format or an other format?
