Re: Unable to extend floor texture onto threshold area of room connecting to adjacent room.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7TtMzMu5ohockNkdk5Zd2YycUU/edit?usp=sharing

I've have not done this before (hope this works) I am including a link to my sh3d test image. The alignment of the doors/entryways seems to be correct.

BTW: Is there a better way to share a sh3d image?

Re: Unable to extend floor texture onto threshold area of room connecting to adjacent room.

Rick,

The problem with your design is that the door frames haven't been inserted correctly.
I checked all doors and door frames, and (if inserted correctly) the rooms will go halfway inside the door or door frame.
Maybe youy inserted the door frames while magnetism was off?

Re: Unable to extend floor texture onto threshold area of room connecting to adjacent room.

Hans,

Thank you. I'm still a bit unclear about the magnetism issue since I just checked my Preferences and magnetism is enabled and I don't believe that I hit the cmd key to disable magnetism. I had been frequently adjusting the position of the doors and did have a magnetism issue with the windows when moving the outside walls.
I just tried moving the doorway between the living room and the dining
room from the wall and back onto the wall and was still unable to get the floor texture into the threshold. But I did notice that I had that door frame as being part of both rooms but correcting that did not change the texture issue. When you re-inserted the doors were you able to get the floor texture onto the threshold?

Rick,

1 - delete all rooms
2 - re-insert all door frames
3 - re-create all rooms

Note: rooms do NOT auto-adjust when you delete or insert a door or door frame.

Re: Unable to extend floor texture onto threshold area of room connecting to adjacent room.

Hans,

Thank you, I was able to fix the threshold issue with all of
the stock doors but I was still seeing the problem with the
thresholds of the entryways created using the OuvertureArcDeCercle.sh3d image. I went and changed the texture
to the ground plate of OuvertureArcDeCercle.sh3d which seems to
have worked.
