How to repair a sh3d file edited with a zip utility?

I've accidentally dropped some file over an sh3d file and it was added to it. I unzipped the sh3d file, deleted the added file, and zipped the whole thing. Then I deleted the .zip extension. However, the sh3d file couldn't be open with Sweet Home 3d. Note the 'fixed' file was smaller than the original one so the zipping (under Ubuntu) performs a better compression than Sweet Home 3d. Which program should I use for zipping? Or is there a better way to fix a file with accidentally added garbage?

Re: How to repair a sh3d file edited with a zip utility?

While unzipping the sh3d file you probably saw that it contains a Home file and numbered files or folders. If you want to be able to open it with Sweet Home 3D again, the Home file must be saved as the first entry in the sh3d file. To ensure this, please follow the following steps:
- unzip again your sh3d file
- open a Terminal window
- go to the folder where you unzipped your sh3d file with the cd command
- type the zip command:
zip /path/to/file.sh3d Home *
where /path/to/file.sh3d is the full path of the sh3d file that will contain Home and the other entries.

By the way, sh3d files are compressed only when you choose File > Save and compress menu item. Otherwise it's an uncompressed archive.
