Floor problem

I made floor from two "thinned box" forming the upper floor around stair hole. Positioning of furniture on both floors was no problem.
Problem was in coloring or texturing this new floor made from "thinned box" (no color or texture). Normal box is ok, but when I thinned it it became colorless again.

Re: Floor problem

Damir,

Can you give the box its colour again? That would solve the problem. Maybe you accidentally hit the button Unchanged?

Other solutions:
- read the tutorial about designs with multiple floors (PDF ) and make a floor that way;
- read the tutorial about roofs (PDF ) and make a floor that way. Advantage: the floor can have any thickness you want and the top and bottom side can have different colours.

Re: Floor problem

Thanks for quick advice.
The above problem was noted only on portable version.
At home, with "normal" Sweet Home 3D everything was OK.

My "Box floor" was 10 cm thick as I intendend it.
I didn't try different colors on my box floor but yes, that
could be a nag. Maybe if I put a normal floor on my box floor...?

I noticed a problem ("normal" Sweet Home, this time) with placing doors in a wall 45 cm thick (yes, old house). The openings are correct, but the "door swing footprint" is 6-10 meters long with bug in 3D display.

Re: Floor problem

Damir,

I can't give any advice regarding the portable version that has been made. It's not official, and as far as I know it's not available anymore.

The solution to the door swing problem is that you first insert a hatch in the wall, and then insert the door in the opening of the hatch with magnetism switched off. You can then resize the door so that it fits your wall.

Re: Floor problem

Yes, in the meantime I've found the answer on

(I'm new to the site and I wrote about the problem before reading bug list/status.

thanks,
